WE REMEMBER 9/11, BUT IGNORE THE LESSONS – Ken’s Thought of the Week

We remember how America was attacked by 19 al-Qaeda terrorists on September 11, 2001. They hijacked four planes, using two to hit the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City,  another one to slam into the Pentagon in Washington, DC, and the fourth, which never made it to it’s destination and was crashed by the heroic passengers into a field in rural Pennsylvania. Nearly 3,000 people were killed that day, and at least 5,000 more died over the months and years that followed, from diseases caused by the poisonous debris.
The immediate economic costs of the attacks included property damage and lost earnings, estimated at more than $35 billion. Soon afterward, on October 7, America responded with armed forces that attacked al-Qaeda bases and the Taliban in Afghanistan, where we kept fighting until our disastrous withdrawal on August 30, 2021. American casualties included 2,459 dead, and 2,456 wounded.

On March 20, 2003, the war against al-Qaeda in Afghanistan was expanded to Iraq and lasted until the US withdrew on December 18, 2011. The number of US casualties in Iraq was huge: 4,576 dead, and 32,292 U.S. service members were officially reported as wounded. Both wars, Afghanistan (2001-2021) and Iraq (2003-2011), cost a combined $3.6 trillion in 2025 dollars.

While there is no official account of the funders of the 9/11 attacks, there is public evidence of Saudi, Qatari, Iranian, and Pakistani funding of al-Qaeda. The dogma behind the attack came from the Muslim Brotherhood, a worldwide Political Muslim terrorist organization, which was founded in Egypt in 1928.
Jihadist Islam began with Mohammed in the Saudi desert around the year 630. During the subsequent 100 years, Muslim armies conquered about 50% of the Christian world, particularly in the Middle East, which was predominantly Christian at the time. The Muslim armies also invaded Spain and Turkey, as well as Northern Africa and even Indonesia and parts of the Philippines and Myanmar (Burma). The Muslim invasion of Spain ended in 1492, and in 1683 in Austria, when European powers finally fought the Muslims successfully and stopped their invasion of Europe.

Why was the US caught off guard by al-Qaeda’s attack on the homeland? Where were the CIA and all the other intelligence agencies? Where was the FBI? Where was our military? Where were our politicians? The simple answer is that our security agencies were not properly monitoring the Muslim Brotherhood and their proxies, which had declared war on America and all Christians, Jews, and Hindus and all other “infidels”.  In fact, our security agencies neglected to monitor the Jihadist war against Western Civilization (democracy), although it began 1,400 years ago. US security agencies failed to monitor the growth of mosques and Muslim schools, which have proliferated throughout the U.S., and continue teaching adult followers and their children contempt for America and individual freedoms.

Americans seem not to understand that they have been in a state of war for a very long time. They do not understand that their Jihadist enemies use seven forms of war against them: kinetic, cultural, economic, legal, demographic, (and more recently) cyber warfare, as well as arson. US security agencies are highly specialized and segmented by geography, which often prevents comprehensive analysis of the security challenges. Alas, as in 2001, it now seems that only a handful of high-level officials have a clear picture of the global threats to the US.

So, what lessons did the US miss? We at Save The West have identified ten overlooked lessons:

1) America is in a constant state of war with our enemies. They will never cease their hostilities against the US, until we kill them.

2) Three groups of enemies have declared war on the US for a long period of time. The communists declared their war following their 1917 takeover of Russia and, again, in 1949 after the takeover of China. The Islamists have been at war with Christians, Jews, Hindus, and other ‘infidels’ since the year 630. The globalists have declared war on all sovereign countries since the League of Nations in 1923.

3) US security agencies, until 1991, monitored the communist threat, but largely ignored the growing Islamist and globalist threats. 

4) US security agencies still do not have a comprehensive view of the three groups of enemies and the seven forms of war, which causes the US to be in a 21-front world war, for which it has no strategy. The US still does not require national security clearances for its public officials.

5) Over the past 50 years, the US has failed to remove the communist, Islamist, and globalist false narratives from the K-12 elementary schools, teachers’ colleges, global institutions, Hollywood, media, and social media.

6) The US has failed to allocate resources to combat anti-Christian and antisemitic behavior, domestically and abroad. Christians are under attack by Islamists throughout Africa and the Middle East, while Jews are under attack throughout America, Europe, and the rest of Western Civilization. The US is doing little, if anything, to curtail and prevent such attacks.

7) Large numbers of illegal Muslim aliens in the US are preaching “incitement to genocide” of Christians and Jews, yet they are not deported. Many of these illegals have become naturalized without disclosing their communist or Islamist/jihadist backgrounds, which would have disqualified them from citizenship.

8) Sharia (Islamic law) is contrary to the US Constitution, but it has not been banned in the US.
9) The US has not banned all communist and Muslim countries from donating to our educational institutions. 

10) The US has not banned all Muslim states from financing of mosques and schools in the US.

Now is the time to reflect on the tragedy of 9/11. When we vow: “Never Again”, we must commit to preventing similar attacks on America. We must also vow to fix the inadequacies of our national security agencies. The time is now!
