We should all join in celebrating our great American heritage of the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Thanksgiving was first celebrated in 1621 by William Bradford, Governor of the Plymouth Colony in Massachusetts, 1621-1657. Retired Israeli Ambassador Yoram Ettinger reminds us that in 1621, “Governor Bradford announced the celebration of Thanksgiving – proclaiming appreciation for the first harvest in “the New Israel” – by citing Psalm 107, which constitutes the foundation of the Jewish concept of Thanksgiving, thanking God for one’s food, one’s being, and for ancient and modern time deliverance from perilous challenges and threats.”

Thanksgiving was proclaimed a national holiday in 1863 by President Abraham Lincoln, as a means to heal the wounds of the Civil War.

Today, like our ancestors, Americans have many reasons to be similarly proud and thankful:

1) In spite of doubts and threats, we completed a successful national election on November 5.

2) The clear landslide victory of President Trump has probably averted a second Civil War.

3) The Democrat candidate VP Harris conceded defeat unconditionally.

4) With the inauguration of the new Trump-led administration of January 20, we will finally have a federal government dedicated to Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness for all Americans, instead of only the elite (10% of the population) that the Democrat-led government planned.

5) Having been led downhill by a rogue Democrat regime for four years, America is now reviving itself by reasserting the values of our founding fathers and the founding documents of our country.

6) In spite of all our foreign and domestic challenges, America’s annual economic growth is still 2-3%, aided by its highly creative and innovative private sector of 6,000 publicly traded corporations and thousands of private companies. President Trump’s pro- business policies will help grow America’s small and big business alike.

7) The new Trump Administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), run by highly successful entrepreneurs Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, will cut billions of dollars of waste and unnecessary regulations and make our government smaller, more efficient, and effective.

8) Americans are also hopeful that President Trump’s domestic and foreign policies will secure our national security from all enemies, within and without.Let us all celebrate our collective success, based on shared Judeo-Christian values that respect the individual and defend the individual from the collectivist Communists, Islamists, and globalists. We have so much to be thankful for!!
