The following is a chronology of the 105 Palestinian terror attacks that were perpetrated against Israeli Jews between September 13 – November 30, 2015. This included 30 shootings, 22 car rammings, 82 stabbings, 651 firebomb attacks and other forms of deadly violence.
The result of this reign of Palestinian terror – averaging more than one attack per day – was that 22 Jews were murdered and 215 were wounded, 21 of them seriously.
As SaveTheWest.com’s research shows, HuffPost ignored 94 of the 105 attacks (see “Note 1” below for definition of “ignored”). See “H1” etc, in below chronology for the eleven cases in which it reported attacks in its headlines. In nine of these eleven cases, however, HuffPost manipulated the headlines and/or associated imagery in one or both of the following ways:
It rewrote the headlines, invariably provided by wire services, primarily the AP and Reuters, to (a) remove the distinction between Palestinian terrorist and Jewish victim, at best (eg “violence,” “unrest” occurring in the area) – and at worst, to (b) falsely imply that Israel was the aggressor (example).
- It inserted pictures only of Palestinians, often in sympathetic situations (eg with corpses of their terrorists; right), into the headlines of these stories – stories of murderous Palestinian attacks on Jews.

Notes:
(1) When we say, “The Huffington Post ignored this story,” we mean that this story did not appear on either its front page or World page. Thus, if a person only got their news from these top pages at HuffPost, they would have practically no idea that Palestinians were perpetrating more than one terrorist attack on Israeli Jews per day – and absolutely no idea that the Palestinian “government” was glorifying, inciting and justifying these attacks.
(2) In instances in which HuffPost covered one of these stories, the links provided will take you to resources to indicate the type and duration of coverage it provided.
(3) In not a single instance did HuffPost provide to a Jewish victim of Islamist terrorism of any of the sympathetic, personalized, top coverage that it provides to terrorists, Palestinians, convicted criminals, animals and others who meet misfortune, or make allegations against Israel.
September 2015: 4 Palestinian terrorist attacks
September 13
(S1) Jerusalem: Palestinian terrorists attacked the car being driven by Alexander Levlovich, 64, with rocks, while he was on his way home from a Rosh Hashana dinner. As a result of this attack, he lost control of his vehicle, crashed, and was killed. Two passengers in the car were lightly injured.

(S2) Jerusalem: Palestinian terrorists attacked an Israeli civilian with rocks, and left the victim seriously injured.

NOTABLE: September 16: Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas tells Palestinians that those who murder Jews are martyrs, and be rewarded in paradise

In [Abbas’s] speech, parts of which were broadcast on official PA TV and posted on his personal website, Abbas also glorified Palestinians fighting against Israel in Jerusalem who are killed in the fighting. Abbas promised that Allah will reward those who “will not allow” Jews to “defile” Jerusalem:
“We bless every drop of blood that has been spilled for Jerusalem, which is clean and pure blood, blood spilled for Allah, Allah willing. Every Martyr (Shahid) will reach Paradise, and everyone wounded will be rewarded by Allah.”

(S3) Nablus: Palestinian terrorists threw a firebomb at an Israeli soldier near Joseph’s Tomb, leaving him injured.

(O1) Near Nablus, in Samaria: Palestinian terrorists machine-gunned to death Rabbi Eitam Henkin, 31, an American citizen, and wife Naama, 30, in front of their four children, ages 9, 7, 4, and 9 months. Security forces arrested members of Hamas cell responsible.
The Huffington Post ignored this story.
The only thing it published about the Henkins was a sideline editorial, buried on a page beyond the casual reader’s view, which it removed soon after.

October 3
(O2) Jerusalem: A Palestinian terrorist stabbed Rabbi Aharon Bennet, 22, to death on the way to the Western Wall in the Old City on Saturday. His wife, Adele, and their two-year-old son were also stabbed.
Rabbi Nehemia Lavi, 41, a father of seven, who came to the aid of the Bennet family, was also attacked and stabbed to death. A few days later, while recovering from her stab wounds in the hospital, Rabbi Bennet’s wife claimed that during the attack, “The Arabs watching applauded and spit at me, calling out, ‘You should die, too’.”
The terrorist was shot and killed by security forces.

October 4
(O3) Jerusalem: A Palestinian terrorist stabbed a Jewish boy, Moshe Malka, 15, who was on his way to prayers at the Western Wall, leaving him wounded. The terrorist was shot dead by security forces.

NOTABLE: October 6: HuffPost’s first front-page article regarding the Third Intifada – and through significant editing, it falsely depicted Israel as the aggressor
Up to this point in the Third Intifada, HuffPost had not run a single story on its front page or World page about any of the Palestinian terrorist attacks on Jews in the past three weeks, which claimed the lives of five and injured eight. If one only got their news from HuffPost, as of October 6, they would have no idea that anything unusual was happening in the region.
On October 6, HuffPost decided to run the AP story – and to so significantly change its headline that it would project the false impression that Israel was taking aggressive action against Palestinians, for no good reason.
Here is how HuffPost published an AP-produced story about the Third Intifada, on both its front page (screencap) and World page (screencap):

(O4) Petach Tikva: A Palestinian terrorist stabbed one Israeli Jew before his knife broke, after which he was apprehended by witnesses.

(O5) Jerusalem: A Palestinian terrorist stabbed a Jewish man at Lion’s Gate of the Old City. The victim, moderately wounded, shot and wounded the terrorist.

(O6) Kiryat Gat (southeast of Tel Aviv): A Palestinian terrorist stabbed an Israeli soldier and snatched his gun, then ran into a nearby apartment, where a woman was just returning home. She fought with him and managed to flee. The terrorist was killed by police.

(O7) Tel Aviv: A Palestinian terrorist stabbed a female Israeli soldier, along with three Jewish civilians. The terrorist was shot and killed.

(O8) Jerusalem: A yeshiva student (25) was seriously injured, and another man lightly injured, in Palestinian terrorist stabbing attack near the light rail. The terrorist was arrested.

(O13) Jerusalem: A Palestinian terrorist stabbed two Jewish men near Damascus Gate, leaving them moderately and lightly wounded, respectively. The terrorist then attacked Border Police officers, who shot and killed him.

(O14) Jerusalem (near Damascus Gate): A Palestinian terrorist stabbed two police officers. Nearby police shot and killed him, and accidentally wounded a third officer. The officers are in serious-to-moderate condition.

After ongoing Palestinian riots, which have including shootings, stabbings, and rock and Molotov cocktail throwing – as well as the murder of 4 Israeli civilians – Abbas last week justified it all as legitimate defense of holy sites:
“The Palestinian side did not attack and did not do anything against the Israelis. If they [Israelis] think that the [Palestinian] people in Jerusalem are protecting themselves, that is our right. October 11
(O15) Maaleh Adumim-Jerusalem highway: An Israeli police officer, Moshe Chen, was injured when he pulled over a driver that was acting suspiciously. The Palestinian terrorist driver set off an explosive device. Gas canisters were later found in the vehicle. The terrorist was seriously wounded.
(H1) The Huffington Post gave the story brief, front-page coverage, but the only picture it chose to run with it was an unrelated one, of Palestinian rioters fleeing tear gas thrown by the Israeli police. It completely ignored the story of Moshe Chen, and the untold lives his heroism may have saved.

October 12
(O16) Jerusalem: A Palestinian terrorist attempted to stab Jews at Lion’s Gate in Jerusalem’s Old City, but was shot and killed by security forces.

(O17) Jerusalem: A Palestinian terrorist stabbed an Israeli border policeman. The officer managed to shoot and stop her, and she was taken to the hospital.

(O18) Jerusalem: Two Palestinian terrorists stabbed and seriously wounded a Jewish man and a Jewish boy, 13, who was riding his bicycle, and is now in critical condition. Police shot and killed one terrorist, and apprehended the second.

(O19) Jerusalem: A Palestinian terrorist stabbed a soldier and tried to grab his gun. After a struggle, the terrorist was shot and killed by a police officer.

NOTABLE: October 13: Fatah’s official social media promotes and glorifies Martyrdom and murder

While world media is focusing on terror promotion in private social media, the official Palestinian Authority and Fatah social media cannot be ignored. Just as the PA and Fatah leadership started this terror campaign, so too Abbas’ party, Fatah, in its official social media, continues to pour fuel on the fire by glorifying terror attacks, murderers, and those seeking Martyrdom-death for Allah (Shahada).
One Fatah tweet showed the image of four terrorists who between them killed 2 and stabbed 7 Israelis, with the following praise:
“Our Martyrs [come] in droves
Our determination is [like] mountains,
it does not bow down before the despicable
and does not fear arrest”

October 13
(O20) Raanana (northeast of Tel Aviv): At a bus stop, a Palestinian terrorist stabbed a Jewish man, 32. The terrorist was subdued by passers-by and held until the police arrived.

(O21) A Palestinian terrorist stabbed four Israeli Jews, leaving one with serious wounds. The terrorist was arrested.

(O22) Jerusalem: Two Palestinian terrorists boarded an Egged bus, one armed with a gun and the other with a knife. American peace activist Richard Lakin, 76, was shot in the head and stabbed in the chest, and succumbed to his wounds on October 27.
Chaim Haviv, 78, was also killed in the attack; his wife, Shoshana, was severely wounded. Also killed was Alon Govberg, 51. Fifteen other Israeli Jews were wounded, several seriously. One terrorist was killed by police, the second was apprehended.
(H2) The Huffington Post essentially ignored Mr. Lakin’s story, by (1) publishing only an article by a wire service, then (2) editing the article’s headline and headline imagery, to simply refer to what was happening in Israel as “unrest,” in which “Israelis and Palestinians were “losing their lives.” HuffPost made no mention whatsoever of Mr. Lakin, personally, anywhere on its front page or World page – including the fact that he died of his wounds, two weeks later, on October 27.

(O23) VIDEO: Jerusalem: A Palestinian terrorist drove his car up onto a sidewalk in front of a bus stop, ran down several Israeli Jews, then got out of his car with a meat cleaver, and stabbed to death Rabbi Yeshayahu Krishevsky, 59. The terrorist was able to wound five other Jews before he was shot to death by security forces. Rabbi Krishevsky’s funeral was attended by thousands.
The Huffington Post essentially ignored Mr. Lakin’s story, by (1) publishing only an article by a wire service, then (2) editing the article’s headline and headline imagery, to simply refer to what was happening in Israel as “unrest,” in which “Israelis and Palestinians were “losing their lives.” HuffPost made no mention whatsoever of Mr. Lakin, personally, anywhere on its front page or World page. It also ignored the fact that Hamas openly praised the attacks, saying they are “a message to anyone who harms our holy places.”

(024) Jerusalem: A Palestinian terrorist stabbed a Jewish woman, 72, at the central bus station. Israeli security forces shot the terrorist.

(O25) Jerusalem: A Palestinian terrorist stabbed two people before being shot and killed by Israeli security forces.
(H3) The Huffington Post featured this story (sourced from the AP) on its front page, with the headline, “Israeli police says it foiled stabbing attack in Jerusalem,” but gave no indication who was the perpetrator and who was the victim. HufffPost knew for a fact that this was a Palestinian terrorist attack on a Jew, however, in part because the very first line of the AP story that it ran reads as follows (emphasis added):
“The Israeli military began deploying hundreds of troops in cities across the country on Wednesday to assist police forces in countering a wave of deadly Palestinian shooting and stabbing attacks that have created panic across the country.”
Later in HuffPost’s own version of the story, it reads (emphasis added):
“In new violence Wednesday, Israeli police said they shot and killed an Arab man after he pulled out a knife and attempted to stab them. His identity was not immediately known.”
SaveTheWest contends that any reasonable, honest “newspaper” would have included those distinguishing details – that these attacks are being perpetrated by Palestinian Arabs – in the headline concerning this story.

(O26) Jerusalem: A Palestinian terrorist attempted to stab Israeli soldiers. He was shot and killed.
The Huffington Post reported this story accurately, on its front page and World page.
NOTABLE, October 16: HuffPost publishes and gives sustained, top coverage to an editorial, claiming Israel is getting just what it deserves
As of this date, HuffPost had been almost entirely ignoring the wave of Palestinian terrorist attacks on Jews, and the suffering of those who’d been murdered and maimed, and of their grieving loved ones. Today, however, HuffPost published the following editorial by a Palestinian “human rights worker”(!), which it ran on its World page for six straight days:
An excerpt:
“Palestinians cannot lose in this situation, for what is life if it is deprived of all that gives it meaning?
“As widely varied as human experiences are, their motives for resorting to violence are equally various. Violence does not occur in a vacuum, and any discussion of violence has to start with addressing the context in which it occurs. […]
“Palestinians should not be expected to tolerate all these years of brutal military occupation, land theft, house demolitions, repeated massacres, blockades and all sorts of systematic discrimination, which govern the smallest detail of their lives.”

October 16
(O27) Nablus: Palestinan rioters set fire to Joseph’s tomb, one of the holiest sites in Judaism.
(H4) The Huffington Post provided an accurate text headline of this incident on its front page and World page, but instead of including a picture of Joseph’s Tomb, it only included a picture of rioting Palestinians.

(O28) Hebron: A Palestinian terrorist, disguised as a photojournalist, stabbed an Israeli soldier. A second soldier shot and killed him.
(H5) The Huffington Post provided an accurate text headline of this incident on its front page and World page, but instead of including a picture of the victim or the crime scene, it only included a picture of rioting Palestinians.

(O29) Jerusalem: An Israeli border policeman foiled a possible Palestinian terror attack after his bomb-sniffing dog detected a pipe bomb at a checkpoint at east Jerusalem’s Issawiya neighborhood.

(O30) Jerusalem: A Palestinian terrorist tried to stab Israeli border police officers. One of the officers shot and killed him.

(O31) Hebron: A Palestinian terrorist tried to stab a Jewish civilian walking back from morning prayers. The civilian shot and killed the terrorist with his personal firearm.

(O32) Hebron: A Palestinian terrorist stabbed a female border police officer, who shot and killed her.
The Huffington Post ignored this story.
(O33) Hebron: A Palestinian terrorist stabbed an Israeli soldier at a police checkpoint. A second soldier shot and critically wounded attacker.

October 18
(O34) Beer Sheva:
On October 18, A Palestinian terrorist armed with a knife and a pistol entered the central bus station, shot and murdered Israeli soldier Sgt. Omri Levy, 23, and injured ten civilians and police officers. The terrorist then grabbed Sgt. Levy’s gun and started shooting. Police officers shot and killed the terrorist.
An Eritrean asylum seeker, Habtom Zerhom, 29 was mistaken for a second terrorist and shot by a security guard, then was beaten by a mob, and later died of his wounds.
(H6) The Huffington Post published on its front page the story (sourced from the AP) of the bus station attack, under the headline, “Arab assailant opens fire on bus station, kills Israeli soldier,” which it matched with a long-distance crime scene photo. It provided no picture or name of, or information regarding Sgt. Levy, even though such information was readily available within hours of the murder. Yet practically right next to this story, HuffPost published a sympathetic story about an abused orangutan, with a close-up picture of its sad face.
(H7) In regards to the accidental killing of Mr. Zerhom, however, HuffPost took an entirely different approach. On the story it published on its front page and World page, HuffPost provided a close-up picture of the wounded man, with the headline, “Asylum seeker killed by Israeli mob ‘just because of his skin color’.” In doing so, HuffPost falsely accused the entire Jewish state of being racist – even though Israel has a long history of advocacy on behalf of people of all races.

NOTABLE, October 19: HuffPost devoted a splash headline to sympathizing with Palestinian terrorists (aka “youths”)
After essentially ignoring the Jewish victims of the Third Intifada and their grieving loved ones for more than a month, on October 19, HuffPost gave this splash headline to a sympathetic opinion piece by a Palestinian-sympathizing “journalist,” which it matched with this picture of an apparently exasperated, exhausted Palestinian rioter/terrorist:
An excerpt, in which this “journalist” places the blame for these terror attacks on Israel, essentially saying it is getting just what it deserves (echoing another editorial that asserted Israel is “reaping what it has sown,” and which it ran on its World page for six straight days, starting on October 16):
“(They are) normal kids who wanted normal lives.
“They wanted to come to college without having to pass through Israeli checkpoints.
“They wanted to return home and find all of their family members present, that none of their fathers or brothers had been taken to administrative detention (imprisonment without trial). They wanted to sleep through the night without the fear of soldiers raiding their house, turning it upside down, or stationing themselves on the roof…”

Curiously, HuffPost did not publish a similar splash headline about the suffering of Jews during the Third Intifada, or the Palestinians’ chronic justifications, glorification and incitement of terrorist attacks against Jewish civilians, or the fact that that Palestinian clerics claim Muslims have divine justification to exterminate all Jews, whom they refer to as descendants of apes and pigs, or the fact that the Palestinian “government” uses Western humanitarian aid money to financially reward and give top jobs to convicted terrorists whom it is able to get released from Israeli prisons.
NOTABLE, October 20: Preteen Palestinian girl demonstrates her brainwashing, on video: “I want to stab a Jew!”
From the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) and the International Business Times (UK): Excerpt:
Online opprobrium has been sparked by footage showing a little girl brandishing a knife as she says to the camera that she wants to “stab a Jew”. The home video was posted on social media last week, amid the spate of stab attacks that have plunged Israel and the Palestinian territories into violence.
The clip was uploaded on 16 October on a Facebook account in the name of Abdulhaleem Abuesha, who according to the page is a Jordanian-Palestinian schoolteacher in the city of Madaba that is home to a large Palestinian refugee camp. It was later picked up and translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute (Memri), a US monitoring group, which identified the girl, named Rahf, as Abuesha’s daughter.
“I want to stab a Jew,” she says in the video, according to Memri. “Why do you want to stab the Jew?” a man asks. “Because he stole our land,” she replies. “With what do you want to stab them?” the man inquires. “With a knife,” she says. “Oh, you’re so strong! Allah willing, my dear,” the man concludes.
HuffPost ignored this story, and this video. Instead, on October 20 and 21, it published stories that it determined were more newsworthy – including a sympathetic story about a baby ape, and five stories on Kardashian gossip (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).
October 20
(O35) South of Hebron: Palestinian terrorists blocked the road on which Israeli Jew Avraham Hasno, 54, was driving, then pummeled his car with rocks. Upon existing his car, another Palestinian ran him over with a truck, and fled the scene.
An Israeli paramedic struggled to save Hasno’s life. As he later recalled, the Palestinians who perpetrated the attack on Hasno were cheering and applauding the injuries they caused him “with inhuman cruelty,” as he lay on the ground, dying. Ironically, the Israeli authorities had denied Hasno’s repeated requests for permission to carry a firearm.

(O36) Hebron: A Palestinian terrorist stabbed an IDF officer.

(O37) Gush Etzion junction: A Palestinian terrorist rammed his car into two Israeli Jews, then got out and drew his knife, in preparation to stab them to death. A security officer shot and killed the terrorist.

Sheikh Khaled Al-Mughrabi teaches Islam twice a week at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestinian Media Watch has exposed that his teachings are blatantly Antisemitic. In August, PMW reports led to his arrest and questioning by Israeli Police, who banned him from the Temple Mount for a month. Last week, the Sheikh was arrested a second time, again because of PMW’s documentation of his most recent Islam lessons, which PMW provided to the police.
While Palestinians are carrying out numerous stabbing attacks against Israelis and the PA and Fatah are fueling Palestinian rage, falsely claiming that Israel is fabricating the attacks as a pretext to shoot Palestinians, Sheikh Mughrabi encouraged the conflict further by stating that Allah is able to destroy all Jews, but wants Muslims/Palestinians to “fulfill His command”:
