How could a war that began so powerfully for the U.S have been concluded with such a poor Memorandum of Understanding that so strongly favored Iran?

The Trump Administration is determined to negotiate a deal with Iran, even though  the terms cannot possibly be verified or enforced over time. What are the alternatives to a deal, when the Iranians keep reneging on the terms?

The public elements of the meeting between President Trump and Xi Jinping went quite well, but the major issues between the two countries are still unresolved. We guess and hope that the following issues were discussed and that we are closer to resolution, at least for some of them.
