Qatar and Turkey are US “frenemies” – 50% friends and 50% enemies. Turkey is a formal member of NATO. Qatar is a major non-NATO ally. Both host large American/NATO bases: Turkey hosts the Incirlik Airbase, and Qatar hosts the huge Al-Udeid Airbase. These bases protect America’s allies, such as Israel, as well as Sunni Arab Muslim states, such as Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states. and its terrorist proxies, the Houthi and Hezbollah. And non-state terror organizations, such as, Hamas, ISIS and al-Qaeda.

The Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) was established in 1979 following a bloody revolt against the American-backed Shah. It promptly declared its intention to commit genocide against America (Death to America) and against Israel (Death to Israel).

Sunni Turkey and Qatar are perceived as a counterweight to Iran’s Death Cult. However, Turkey and Qatar openly support the Muslim Brotherhood, a radical Sunni movement which, like Iran, seeks dominance, the destruction of the Jewish State of Israel, and controlling Infidels (Christian, Buddhist, and any other non-Muslims) everywhere.  Turkey, Qatar, and Iran are the major players in the Middle East.

Iran was poised to execute its 45-year strategy for regional and world domination until it made the strategic error of sponsoring its Muslim Brotherhood terrorist proxy, Hamas, in Gaza. Iran aided 40,000 Sunni Hamas terrorists in launching a genocidal war against Israel on October 7, when they murdered 1,200 Israelis and kidnapped more than 250 hostages. One day later, on October 8, Iran’s Shiite proxy, Hezbollah, launched a daily missile attack on northern Israel from Lebanon. Israel’s ferocious response has now lasted 14 months, leaving 75% of Hamas terrorists dead, injured, or captured. But due to US and UN pressure on Israel, the Jewish state has been prevented from ending Hamas fighting in and from the Gaza Strip.

In Lebanon, 25% of Hezbollah’s 60,000 terrorists are dead, injured, and captured, and 75% of its 150,000 rockets have been destroyed. The leadership of the Hamas and Hezbollah Death Cults have been successfully eliminated by Israel’s creative military operations. Together with the US and Britain, Israel is degrading Iran’s Houthi Yemenite proxy. America is also slowly damaging 100,000 Iran-affiliated Shiite terrorists in Iraq.Israel’s unrelenting attacks on Hezbollah and Iranian agents and weapons in Syria dramatically undermined the Alawite, pro-Iran Assad dictatorship of 50 years. The Syrian troops were unable to protect the government from Turkey and Qatar-supported, mostly radical northern Sunni rebels, who moved south in early December. Soon thereafter, Israel enlarged its buffer zone in the south of Syria.  Israel also launched 500 air strikes in 3 days, destroying the remnants of the Syrian air force, navy, and army, and preventing large quantities of weapons from falling into rebel hands.

Here are a few tasks facing the US now:

1) The US should demand that Turkey and Qatar pressure the different radical Sunni rebel factions that they support to respect the minority rights of the 2.5 million Kurds, 500,000 Christians, and 300,000 Syrian Druze citizens. If necessary, America and Israel should take direct measures to protect these pro-American communities.

2) America must ensure that the rebels do not threaten the security of our allies, Jordan and Israel.

3) The US, aided by the EU, should encourage millions of Syrian refugees – 2 million in Europe, 3.5 million in Turkey – to return to Syria to help rebuild their war-torn country.

4) Over the past 25 years, Qatar has been the major funder of the radical Islamist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) throughout Europe, the Americas, and elsewhere. The US should ban contributions from Qatar to Sharia-promoting Muslim organizations

5) The US should also ban Qatar’s main Islamist propaganda vehicle, Al Jazeera, and online publications.

6) Likewise, the US should ban Qatari financing of American universities and all forms of media.

7) The US should also pressure Turkey to end its illegal occupation of northern Cyprus.

These actions will not be easy, but time is of the essence to save the US and the West from the existential threat of radical Islamist states and non-state actors and their growing Jihadist propaganda everywhere.
