Introduction

For years, HuffPost has positioned itself as an LGBT-friendly publication. In addition to claiming that Sesame Street’s beloved “Big Bird” has a “secret gay history,” and posting pictures of gay intimacy on its front page, HuffPost even and published explicit photos of “gay orthodox priests”:

And it enables the most vile, vulgar gay commentaries to appear on its front page:

HuffPost attacks those who believe in traditional marriage

HuffPost has also published scorching “news” headlines against anyone who disagrees with its stances on LGBT issues, such as this one, from 2013, in which it lambasted the black evangelical Christian candidate for lieutenant governor of Virginia, whom it called a “bigot”:

HuffPost unlawfully published a pro-traditional marriage group’s confidential tax returns, and endangered its donors

In 2012, HuffPost published unlawfully-obtained segments of a tax return of a group that supports traditional marriage, which contained confidential donor information.  It then refused to take these materials down, after the group’s lawyer advised it, in writing, that publication of such materials is illegal.

Further, HuffPost knew, or should have known, that by unlawfully publishing donors’ names, addresses and contact information, it was exposing them them and their families to danger, especially given the radical left’s propensity for committing political violence.  (Notable: Less than a year later, a radical leftist terrorist attacked the Washington, DC office of a group that supports traditional marriage, “to kill as many as possible,” because he was told they are “anti-gay.”)

(1.1) HuffPost claimed that a little girl who stood up to a homophobic Christian preacher is “everyone’s new hero”

On July 2, 2015, HuffPost ran this original news story near the top of its front page:

Zea, The Ohio Girl Who Stood Up To A Homophobic Preacher, Is Everyone’s New Hero, by Ed Mazza, Huffington Post, July 1, 2015. Excerpt:

Sometimes, the loudest voice is the one that doesn’t say a word — just ask this little girl.

Zea, a 7-year-old first grader, stood firm in the face of hate over the weekend at a celebration of the Supreme Court ruling that legalized same-sex marriage. When a preacher began ranting at her through a microphone, little Zea quietly waved her rainbow flag and never backed down. […]

“Zea didn’t just flash the flag at that hatemonger, and bail. They went toe to toe, for several minutes, while he bellowed all of his fire and brimstone right in her face,” Bowling wrote on Facebook. “Grown man vs first grader. She told me afterward that she did feel scared. The one thing the people of ‪#‎comfest2015‬ never let her feel though? Alone.”

(1.2) … and eagerly attacks anyone who utters homophobic comments, or incitements to violence…

From HuffPost’s front page, July 9, 2014:

Fox News Pundit’s Insanely Homophobic Comments

From May 2010:

Cliff Kincaid’s International Gay-Bashing, by Terry Krepel, Huffington Post, May 14, 2010.

And from December 5, 2014:

Pastor Who Calls For Executing Gays Is About To Get A Big Surprise

On September 27, 2017, HuffPost published this splash headline, attacking newly-elected Sen. Roy Moore as a “bigot,” because of his claims that homosexuality should be outlawed:

(1.3) … and even falsely alleged in a front page “news” story that a U.S. citizen who stands for traditional marriage “is an enemy of LGBTQ people, always has been, always will be”…

This “news” story appeared on HuffPost’s front page on May 25, 2017:

Betsy DeVos Is An Enemy Of LGBTQ People. Always Has Been. Always Will Be.

Note: This story was written by HuffPost’s Gay Voices editor, Michelangelo Signorile, who two weeks earlier explicitly incited radical leftists to hate, stalk and harass Republicans, and their families, even at their homes.

(2) …Except in the face of Islamist anti-LGBT incitement to violence, which it completely ignores or whitewashes

HuffPost’s willingness to attack anyone who disagrees with its stance on LBGT issues has one, glaring exception, though: it militantly ignores radical Islamists who preach and morally justify violence against gays, lesbians, etc. — and either ignores or whitewashes the carnage that results from these preachings, all over the world.  Here are three examples of HuffPost’s double-standard in this regard:

(2.1) After acknowledging that the Pulse massacre was perpetrated by an ISIS-inspired Islamist terrorist, HuffPost published a headline that claimed the attack had “nothing to do with religion,” and another that falsely claimed it was caused by Christian anti-gay bigotry

(2.2) HuffPost completely ignored the fact that two months before the Pulse massacre, a notoriously homophobic imam from England gave a sermon in Orlando, FL, where he claimed — on video — that Muslims must murder gays

(2.3) HuffPost completely ignored the fact that another notoriously homophobic imam, from Syria, also preached in Central Florida, that Muslims must murder gays

(2.4) HuffPost ignored the fact that two other notoriously homophobic imams, from Iran, spoke in 2016 at mosques in Silicon Valley and England

(2.5) May 2017, Orlando, FL: HuffPost completely ignored a tip that still another notorious, violence-inciting, homophobic imam was scheduled to speak at an Orlando mosque

(2.6) June 2017: HuffPost claimed shariah law is no threat to the U.S. Constitution, and those who assert it is are “haters” — while completely ignoring shariah’s role in causing the Pulse nightclub massacre, again

(2.7) July 2017, Oakland, CA: HuffPost completely ignored the FBI arrest of a militant Islamist who claimed he was going to murder 10,000 or more gays and lesbians with mass poisoning

(2.8) August 2016, Istanbul, Turkey (belated discovery): HuffPost completely ignored the discovery of a beheaded, mutilated gay Syrian refugee

(2.9) August 2017: HuffPost completely ignored the largest Islamist group in America kicking out members of the LGBT community from their annual conference

(2.10) June 2014-present day: HuffPost completely ignored the Islamist who murdered two gay men in Seattle, and another man in New Jersey, in the cause of jihad

(2.11) May 2014: HuffPost completely ignored the firebombing of a gay nightclub in Seattle, WA, by an Islamist who reportedly claimed that homosexuals “should be exterminated,” and was convicted of the crime

(2.1) After acknowledging that the Pulse massacre was perpetrated by an ISIS-inspired Islamist terrorist, HuffPost published a headline that claimed the attack had “nothing to do with religion,” and another that falsely claimed it was caused by Christian anti-gay bigotry

Part 1: HuffPost initially reported, accurately, that the Pulse massacre was perpetrated by a Muslim, who said in recorded calls that he did it out of his allegiance to Islamist terror groups

Part 2: Twelve hours later, HuffPost published an editorial that falsely blamed Christianity for the massacre — and claimed “Jesus would have hung out at gay bars”

Part 3: On June 13, HuffPost published a headline that read, in part, that the massacre had “nothing to do with religion”

PART 1: HuffPost initially reported, accurately, that the Pulse massacre was perpetrated by a Muslim, who said in recorded calls that he did it out of his allegiance to Islamist terror groups

On June 11, 2016, radical Islamist Omar Mateen attacked the gay Pulse nightclub in Orlando, FL, killing 49, and wounding 53.  He explicitly told local 911 dispatchers and the FBI on recorded calls that he was perpetrating this act because he is an Islamist, acting at the behest of ISIS, a fact that was reported by CNN on June 12.

At 9:28am on June 12, HuffPost published an article that identified the shooter as a radical Islamist, Omar Matteen.

New Details Emerge About Deadliest Mass Shooting In U.S. History; “The one thing that we can say is that this is being treated as a terrorist investigation,” said President Barack Obama, by Sebastian Murdock, Andy Campbell, Roque Planas, and Willa Frej, Huffington Post, June 12, 2016, 9:28am EST. Excerpts:

The Pulse club, known as a lifeline for Orlando’s LGBTQ community, was packed early Sunday morning when gunman Omar Mateen stormed in, taking dozens of people hostage before dialing 911 from the venue’s bathroom. Mateen was fatally shot by authorities, who burst into the club after he threatened more lives and suggested he was wearing explosives. […]

“The one thing that we can say is that this is being treated as a terrorist investigation,” Obama said. “It appears that the shooter was inspired by various extremist information that was disseminated over the internet.” […]

Mateen pledged solidarity with the Tsarnaev brothers, who were responsible for the Boston marathon bombing, and with a Florida man who died in a suicide bombing while fighting for the al Nusra front, a terror organization linked to al Qaeda that is battling the Syrian government.

PART 2: Twelve hours later, HuffPost published an editorial that falsely blamed Christianity for the massacre — and claimed “Jesus would have hung out at gay bars”

HuffPost published the following editorial at 10:00pm on June 12, 2016, 20 hours after the Pulse nightclub massacre, which began at 2:00am.

Jesus Would Have Hung Out At Gay Bars; “Christians, can we just drop the judgement already?,” by Kimberly Poovey, Huffington Post, June 12, 2016.

Why would HuffPost publish such a piece, shielding Islam from any association with the Pulse massacre, and instead assign the blame for it to Christian “judgment” regarding gays?

Only HuffPost’s editors can answer that question.  But wait — it gets far worse.

PART 3: On June 13, HuffPost published a headline that read, in part, that the massacre had “nothing to do with religion”

In defiance of all that it knew about the Pulse attack and Mateen’s stated motives, on June 13 (see date-stamp on lower right) HuffPost ran this splash headline, which explicitly said the attack had “nothing to do with religion”:

HuffPost maintained this official denial and whitewashing posture for the duration of the coverage of the Pulse attack.

(2.2) HuffPost completely ignored the fact that two months before the Pulse massacre, a notoriously homophobic imam from England gave a sermon in Orlando, FL, where he claimed — on video — that Muslims must murder gays

On June 12, 2017, PJ Media revealed that in April 2016, two months before the Pulse attack, a radical imam from England, Sheikh Farrokh Sekaleshfar, had obtained a travel visa by the Obama State Deparatment to preach at a mosque in Orlando, where he claimed — on video — that devout Muslims must murder gays, “out of compassion”:

Imam Speaking in Orlando Said Gays Must Be Killed Out of ‘Compassion’, by Patrick Poole, PJ Media, June 12, 2016. Excerpts:

There is new information on the horrific terror attack in Orlando last night that has killed at least 50 and wounded more than 100 in the largest mass shooting in American history.

[An] imam speaking in Orlando in April [2016] said that killing gays according to Islamic law should be done “out of compassion”:

“Death is the sentence. We know there’s nothing to be embarrassed about this, death is the sentence…We have to have that compassion for people, with homosexuals, it’s the same, out of compassion, let’s get rid of them now.”

The proof that HuffPost ignored this story: A January 11, 2017 search using HuffPost’s own search engine of the string “Florida imam Sheikh Farrokh Sekaleshfar homosexuality” returned zero results.

This is especially curious given the fact that Christopher Matthias, the “journalist” whom HuffPost tasks frequently with covering alleged hate crimes against Muslims (many of which turn out to be hoaxes), asked in a November 2016 headline, “Where were they radicalized?,” about the perpetrators of such crimes:

In contrast, HuffPost has a de facto policy of ignoring actual hate crimes against Jews and others in groups it considers worthless, and never asking where were radicalized — especially when the proven perpetrators are Muslims or other minorities (examples 1, 2, 3).

Further, HuffPost completely ignored the fact that according to one of its regular sources, NY Magazine, Mateen :

[Mateen] apparently enrolled in the “Fundamental Islamic Knowledge Seminary,” an online course operated by an imam named Abu Taubuh, also known as Marcus Robertson, who preaches anti-gay sermons.

HuffPost’s own search engine proves that it ignored this fact.  A March 5, 2017 search using the string “Abu Taubuh” returned no results:

UPDATE May 11, 2017: HuffPost grilled a Jewish political figure for his affiliations with a terrorist group — but has never done this to anyone affiliated with a Islamist terrorist group or attack on U.S. soil

On May 11, 2017, HuffPost published the following story on its front page:

This Politician Keeps Saying Linda Sarsour Supports Terror. But He Was In A Terror Group; Dov Hikind told HuffPost he’s “proud” of his time with the Jewish Defense League, and doesn’t deny once tossing a smoke bomb into a U.N. office, by Christopher Mathias, Huffington Post, May 11, 2017.

The reporter, Christopher Matthias, claims he generated and submitted a series of questions to the subject of this article, Dov Hikind, that probe his history with the JDL, its affiliations and terrorist attacks, etc.:

“Because there has been little public accounting of Hikind’s role in the organization, HuffPost sent the assemblyman a detailed list of questions this week about his relationship to the JDL.”

Curiously, neither Matthias nor anyone at HuffPost has ever publicly submitted such a list to any American or refugee that is affiliated with any Islamist terrorist group.  Most notably, HuffPost never even publicized the fact that two months before the Pulse nightclub massacre, a mosque in Orlando hosted a sermon by a notorious imam from Syria, who claimed that devout Muslims must murder homosexuals “out of compassion.”  Nor has it published anything that gives credibility to Linda Sarsour’s critics, such as her Tweet in which she threatened to beat up women’s rights activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali, and “take her vagina away”:

Instead, HuffPost has only published glowing articles about Sarsour, that could easily be confused for the wares of a public relations agency.

(2.3) HuffPost completely ignored the fact that another notoriously homophobic imam, from Syria, also preached in Central Florida, that Muslims must murder gays

Following up on Case Study 2.2, in this case, Dr. Mohammed Al-Nabulsi, a radical imam who had been captured on video claiming that gays must be put to death, had obtained State Department approval to travel through the U.S., preaching his message of hate and intolerance, particularly as it pertains to gays. A local Florida TV station broke this news on January 6, 2017:

Mosques to host events supporting Syrian refugees, by WFTV.com (FL),

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. Several mosques in Central Florida are getting ready to host events supporting Syrian refugees.

Channel 9’s Field Sutton found out the Muslim scholar who will be speaking at one of the events has a history of making anti-gay and anti-Jewish remarks.

Leaders of the Islamic Society of Central Florida told Eyewitness News that they were unaware of Dr. Mohammed Al-Nabulsi’s history, but they also said they’re firmly committed to restricting him to the topic of rebuilding war-torn Syria.

Al-Nabulsi has said in videos posted online that “homosexuality leads to the destruction of the homosexual. That is why, brothers, homosexuality carries the death penalty.”

The proof that HuffPost ignored this story: A January 11, 2017 search using HuffPost’s own search engine of the string “Florida Syria imam Mohammed Al-Nabulsi homosexuality” returned zero results.

Learn more about Al-Nabulsi and his homophobic and anti-Semitic preachings here.

(2.4) HuffPost ignored the fact that two other notoriously homophobic imams, from Iran, spoke in 2016 at mosques in Silicon Valley and England

On January 12, 2017, the American Center for Democracy, a research and watchdog nonprofit, posted an article that documented the fact that two homophobic imams are to lecture at several mosques in Silicon Valley, in affiliation with the Shia Association of the Bay Area (SABA):

Silicon Valley Bishop’s “solidarity” with Muslims advocating Death to Gays, by Lee Kaplan, American Center for Democracy, January 12, 2017. Excerpt:

Hamza Sodagar and Farrokh Sekaleshfar, two Khomeinist “superstar mullahs” on the Islamist lecture circuit, are frequent speakers at Saba Islamic Center where Saba Academy’s curriculum is taught. Alarmingly, both mullahs justify the execution of gays under Sharia law. […]

Sodagar has spoken at schools as far away as Canada’s York University, and even in the UK, but he appeared on a regular basis at Saba where he lectured about Sharia-compliant methods of executing homosexuals:

“For homosexual men, the punishment is one of five things. One, the easiest one, maybe, is chop their head off, stop their heart. Two, burn them to death. Three, throw them off a cliff. Four, tear down a wall upon them. Five, a combination of these things.”

Articles exposing these imams, particularly Sodagar, were published earlier in 2016, including in a prominent gay website, Queerty:

Islamic Preacher Lecturing In London Seen Outlining Ways To Kill Gay People, by Jeff Taylor, Queerty.com, October 7, 2016.

Muslim preacher who calls for beheading & burning of homosexuals to give speech in London; A radcial Islamic preacher who detailed the “five ways” kill gay people is delivering a string of speeches at a venue in London, by Charlie Bayliss, The Express (UK), October 5, 2016.

Yet HuffPost’s own search engine proves it has completely ignored Imam Sodagar and his homophobic incitement preachings.  A January 13, 2017 search at HuffPost of the string “Hamza Sodagar” returned zero results:

(2.5) May 2017, Orlando, FL: HuffPost completely ignored a tip that still another notorious, violence-inciting, homophobic imam was scheduled to speak at an Orlando mosque

On May 1, 2017, Florida activist Suzanne Shattuck published an advisory that another violence-inciting imam was scheduled to speak at an Orlando mosque:

Another “Radical” Islamic Cleric Coming To Orlando May 12-14, by Suzanne Shattuck, May 1, 2017. Excerpt:

Radicalized Islamic Cleric Kamal El-Mekki’s appearance in Central Florida is generating real concern as he publicly advocates religiously sanctioned murder.  Kamal El-Mekki’s incitement to violence hate speech must be condemned by the media, local Islamic leaders, and the non-Muslim clergy.

Kamal El-Mekki on video tape, stated the following:

1. Killing of Muslims who leave Islam (apostates) is sanctioned.

2. Killing of adulterers is sanctioned (but advises clerics not to discuss it so much).

3. Killing & Beheading of criminals is necessary for a safe society.

4. Killing drug dealers in America would be a good practice.

5. Hate for the Non-Muslim. “As for the kuffar (derogatory name for non-Muslims), “the first thing is, why would you want to follow a people whom you know and you’re sure that their end will be in the hellfire?”

6. Offensive statements regarding the homosexual lifestyle.

7. Polygamy is an acceptable practice

Shattuck’s advisory specified that El-Mekki would be speaking at the Ibn Seena Academy in Orlando from May 12-14.

SaveTheWest is aware that a concerned individual emailed the following advisory about this upcoming sermon and the background of Orlando mosques hosting violence-inciting imams, on May 2 to the address published by HuffPost’s new executive editor, on April 25, 2017, for story tips (see bottom of page):

To: listening@huffpost.com

FYI another imam who advocates that Muslims should murder gays will be speaking at a mosque in Orlando soon:

And Orlando mosques have a history of facilitating iimams who incite hate and violence against the LGBT community:

HuffPost’s search engine proves it completely ignored this story, and the tip provided to it

A May 11, 2017 search at HuffPost using the string “Kamal El-Mekki Orlando Ibn Seena Academy returned zero results:

(2.6) June 2017: HuffPost claimed shariah law is no threat to the U.S. Constitution, and those who assert it is are “haters” — while completely ignoring shariah’s role in causing the Pulse nightclub massacre, again

On June 10, 2017, HuffPost blasted the groups that held nationwide demonstrations against shariah law, excoriating them as “haters” in a splash front-page headline:

An excerpt from this “news” story:

MARCH FOR HATE, by Christopher Mathias, Huffington Post, June 10, 2017 (page archived here).

The “March Against Sharia” rallies are set to place on Saturday in 29 cities across 21 states, and are being organized by Act for America, the nation’s largest anti-Muslim hate group. Act for America has billed this weekend’s events as some kind of noble stand against “atrocities” it attributes ― wrongly ― to sharia. […]

Act for America has also long pushed the conspiracy theory that sharia law ― the deeply misunderstood legal or philosophical code of Islam, interpreted differently by Muslims across the world ― poses a threat to the U.S. Constitution. (It does not.)

Just below that “news” story, however, appeared this, near the top of the front page:

Here is the link to this “news” story:

A YEAR SINCE ORLANDO’S UNSPEAKABLE TRAGEDY, by James Michael Nichols, Huffington Post, June 10, 2017 (archive link here).

As before, HuffPost makes no mention of the fact that a Muslim, Omar Mateen, perpetrated the attack, that it was incited by shariah law, as articulated by imams on three separate occasions in Orlando, including a sermon given two months before he launched the attack.

If you do a search on the storypage for the words “Muslim,” “Islam,” “shariah,” and “ISIS,” here are the results (with screencaps to prove it; check this archived version of the story):

“Muslim”: 0 instances (screencap)

“shariah”: 0 instances (screencap)

“Islam”: 1 instance, as part of “Islamophobia (screencap)

“ISIS”: 1 instance, as part of “crisis” (screencap)

Once again, HuffPost decided to completely ignore the role of Islam and shariah in triggering and justifying the Orlando massacre, and instead, attacked those who are opposed to shariah.  Including devout Sunni Muslim Zuhdi Jasser, MD, president and founder of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy.  Here is a documentary hosted by Dr. Jasser, “The Third Jihad,” that addresses the roots of shariah law, and what it would mean if fully implemented in Western societies:

https://youtu.be/4XUub1no1qw

Curiously, HuffPost never features Dr. Jasser in any of its articles.

(2.7) July 2017, Oakland, CA: HuffPost completely ignored the FBI arrest of a militant Islamist who claimed he was going to murder 10,000 or more gays and lesbians with mass poisoning

I-TEAM EXCLUSIVE: Oakland man allegedly planned Bay Area terror attacks, by Dan Noyes, ABC7News.com, July 24, 2017. Excerpt:

Investigators say a West Oakland man told an undercover agent he wanted to “redefine terror” and kill 10,000 people in support of the terror group ISIS.

In an exclusive interview with the head of the San Francisco FBI and from federal court recordings obtained by the ABC7 I-Team, new details are emerging in the government’s terror case against Amer Sinan Alhaggagi. […]

On Monday, FBI Special Agent in Charge John Bennett emphatically reiterated the government’s position in an exclusive interview, telling ABC7’s Dan Noyes, “This was a case of grave importance for us. This was a clear and present danger for public safety here in the Bay Area.” […]

“This was very serious, this was a top priority for this office, for a good part of a year,” he told Dan Noyes.

In that December 2016 court hearing, prosecutors revealed Alhaggagi talked about plans to sell cocaine laced with rat poison in Bay Area nightclubs. The undercover agent says he was looking for information on the exact mixture of strychnine and cocaine to use in that scheme. He showed the agent an ISIS bomb-making manual he downloaded on a computer and he sent the agent photographs of guns he said he obtained.

“He then told confidential source number one, ‘I live close to San Francisco, that’s like the gay capital of the world. I’m going to handle them right, LOL,’ meaning laughing out loud. ‘I’m going to place a bomb in a gay club, Wallah or by God, I’m going to tear up the city.’ And I quote, ‘The whole Bay Area is going to be up in flames,'” the federal prosecutor explained to Judge Westmore in his argument to have Alhaggagi detained.

HuffPost’s search engine proves it completely ignored this story, and the tip provided to it

A July 29, 2017 search at HuffPost using the string “Amer Sinan Alhaggagi” returned zero results:

Instead, here is a sampling of the “news” stories that HuffPost published on its front page in the three days following this report, July 25-27:

(2.8) August 2016, Istanbul, Turkey (belated discovery): HuffPost completely ignored the discovery of a beheaded, mutilated gay Syrian refugee

Background: We ordinarily wouldn’t include hate crimes and incitement against the LGBT community that occurred outside the U.S.  But given that HuffPost (a) Gives top coverage to alleged hate crimes perpetrated against Muslims in the U.S., W. Europe and Israel, but (b) Ignores the proliferation of horrific “honor crime” attacks perpetrated by fundamentalist Muslims in Western societies on females who violate the tenets of shariah law, it was notable that on June 30, 2017, HuffPost published this story near the top of its front page, regarding such an attack on two Muslim females, in London, England:
The only difference between the above story, and all the others that HuffPost ignores, is the fact that the alleged perpetrator was a white male.  This was presumably what caused HuffPost to give it top coverage on its front page, because it furthers its narrative, that white males are the #1 terror threat facing America.

Given these facts, upon belatedly discovering the following story, from 2016, we decided it was worth including here, because it once again illustrates the depths to which HuffPost will go to avoid informing its readers of the #1 threat to the LGBT community in the world: fundamentalist Islam.

The following story, about a gay man known only as “Wisam,” was published by CNN on August 5, 2016:

Gay Syrian refugee found beheaded, mutilated in Turkey, by Ben Westcott and Arwa Damon, CNN, August 5, 2016.  Excerpt:

A gay refugee living in Turkey has been found murdered, his body so mutilated his friends could only identify him by his pants, a local rights group said. Wisam, who arrived in Istanbul about a year ago after fleeing Syria, went missing on July 23 and was found two days later in the city’s Yenikapi district.

He previously had been threatened, kidnapped and raped, according to Kaos Gay and Lesbian Cultural Research and Solidarity Association (KAOS GL), a Turkey-based rights group. CNN is not using the victim’s last name out of concern for his family’s safety.

“We identified him from his pants… They had cut (him) so violently. So violent that two knives had broken inside him. They had beheaded him. His upper body was beyond recognition,” said one friend, whom CNN is not naming for safety reasons.

“If you saw his body, if you even saw a picture of it, you would faint,” said another friend, who asked CNN to identify him as Mohammed out of fear for his safety. “It was as if he was attacked by a beast.” Wisam had been stabbed 20 times, his organs were removed and he had been beheaded, according to Alex Benjamin, who works for an organization that aims to help LGBT refugees get expedited asylum.

“Police are doing nothing,” Benjamin said, “because he is Syrian and because he is gay.”

Soon after, UPI produced this 1-minute video report, which revealed the victim’s name as Muhammad Wisam Sankari:

https://youtu.be/5GLpb_X216Y

HuffPost’s search engine proves it completely ignored this story, and the tip provided to it

An August 7, 2017 search at HuffPost using the string “Muhammad Wisam Sankari beheaded mutilated Turkey” returned zero results:

Contrast HuffPost’s decision to completely ignore this story, to its decision give top coverage to original, sympathetic, graphic stories it has developed about other “victims,” including:

“Patrick” an elderly wombat in Australia, who died a virgin:A “homesick American jihadi,” in Somalia, to whom it gave five straight days of top coverage:

A multi-year campaign of sympathetic stories for an all-girl Russian punk band, “Pussy Riot,” after they were arrested for barging into a famed orthodox church in Moscow, during services, then singing a vulgar song:

(2.9) August 2017: HuffPost completely ignored the largest Islamist group in America kicking out members of the LGBT community from their annual conference

This was posted on August 14, 2017:

Silence as ISNA Kicks Out Gay Muslims From Conference, by Ryan Mauro, Clarion Project, August 14, 2017.  Excerpt:

If you go into a bomb shelter, close the door and put on headphones, you’ll hear the sound of progressives reacting to how a top Muslim-American group discriminated against pro-LGBT Muslims: Total silence.

The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) shockingly kicked out a pro-LGBT Muslim group named Muslims for Progressive Values from its table at an event in early July. It is now mid-August and not a word about it has been heard.

What should be even more embarrassing for supporters of gay rights is that the Muslim group’s table was jointly reserved by Muslims for Progressive Values and Human Rights Campaign. The latter group describes itself as “the largest LGBT equality-rights advocacy group and political lobbying organization in the United States” with over one million members and supporters.

This isn’t a small incident at a small event with little-known players. All the elements are there for a major story and progressive rallying cry.

The most powerful Muslim-American organization—at the biggest Muslim-American event of the year with over 15,000 attendees—kicked out pro-gay Muslims sharing a table with the largest LGBT advocacy group in the country.

Where are the progressive condemnations, petitions and protesters?

HuffPost buried and whitewashed this exclusion.

Given the facts contained on this page, particularly in Section 1, it is clear that had this been done by a Christian or Jewish conference, HuffPost would have created a front-page headline that highlighted this fact.  Instead, there was not a single headline about this incident.

HuffPost’s’ search engine proves that using the search string “Islamic Society of North America Muslims for Progressive Values” produces only one relevant result — which not only has nothing to do with this incident, it would lead the casual reader to arrive at a conclusion that is exactly the opposite of the reality:

American Muslims Are Now More Accepting Of Homosexuality Than White Evangelicals, by Carol Kuruvilla, Huffington Post, August 1, 2017.

Note that one must go all the way to the bottom of the article to discover what happened at ISNA’s conference:

(2.10) June 2014-present day: HuffPost completely ignored the Islamist who murdered two gay men in Seattle, and another man in New Jersey, in the cause of jihad
Ali Muhammad Brown

Between April 27 and June 25, 2014, radical Islamist Ali Muhammad Brown, 29, went on a murder spree in Seattle, WA, and West Orange, NJ, for the purpose of supporting ISIS through violent jihad.

In Skyway, WA (a suburb of Seattle), Brown shot Leroy Henderson, 30, to death as he sat in his vehicle.  On June 1, Brown posed as a gay man on the social media app Grinder, and solicited two gay men, Ahmed Said, 27, and Dwone Anderson-Young, 23, to meet him at a specific location that evening, then executed them with gunshots.  Then, on June 25, Brown encountered Brendan Tevlin, 19, at an intersection in NJ and shot him to death, without provocation.

Photos of some of Brown’s victims, courtesy of the Daily Mail (UK), starting with the gay men he lured out of a club, then executed:

Several articles about the arrest of Brown, at the time:

Seattle fugitive suspected of killing two gay men nabbed in New Jersey, by Nicole Hensley, NY Daily News, July 19, 2014.

How police ended terror campaign of suspect in murder of college student Brendan Tevlin, by Mark Di Ionno, NJ.com, August 10, 2014.

It was later discovered that Brown was a self-proclaimed Islamist terrorist, who had been on a Department of Homeland Security terrorist watch list at the time of his 2014 murder spree — which begs the question of how he was able to obtain firearms in the first place:

Muslim accused of killing four people in protest against US foreign policy was an ‘ISIS supporter on a one-man jihad’ who featured on a ‘terrorism watch list’, by Darren Boyle, Daily Mail, January 21, 2016.  Excerpt:

Brown told investigators he carried out the killings in retaliation for U.S. military action in the Middle East, and described himself as a strict Muslim, according to court documents.  In his journal, Brown said he was interested in receiving jihadist training, prosecutors said on Wednesday.

HuffPost’s search engine proves it completely ignored Brown’s murder spree

We begin our analysis with November 14, 2017 search using the following strings:

“Skyway, WA Leroy Henderson”: Returned zero results:

“Ahmed Said Dwone Anderson-Young”: Returned one result:

“Brendan Devlin West Orange NJ”: Returned zero results:

As noted above, HuffPost only published one article about the murders of Dwone Anderson-Young and Ahmed Said.  In this lone article, on June 9, 2014, note that HuffPost reported that Seattle authorities had arrested Matalepuna Malu for the crime; no mention is made of Brown:

Seattle’s Central District Community Mourns Loss of Two Young Men, Both Reportedly Gay, by Sarah Toce, Huffington Post, June 9, 2014.  Excerpt:

Hundreds of concerned Seattle citizens and elected officials gathered at the intersection of 29th and South King Street Thursday night to remember 23-year-old Dwone Anderson-Young and 27-year-old Ahmed Said. Among the supporters were Seattle Mayor Ed Murray, Seattle City Councilmember Sally Clark, the Seattle LGBT Commission, and Social Outreach Seattle, a local nonprofit whose tagline is “We are one community, working together.”

Anderson-Young and Said were shot after an evening on Capitol Hill, Seattle’s LGBT neighborhood. The two young men were both gay, according to both families and the Seattle Police Department at the vigil. Assistant Police Chief Carmen Best said investigators believed the two men were seen at popular gay bar R Place and at Hot Mama’s Pizza before the killings. […]

One alleged assailant, 26-year-old felon Matalepuna Malu, turned himself in to police following the killings. The Seattle Police Department is still searching for additional suspects and asks that the community alert them of any evidence that could lead to the possible capture and arrest of perpetrators involved.

On June 11, however, Seattle authorities had released Malu, and announced they were seeking Brown:

Man arrested in Seattle double homicide no longer a suspect, by Paige Cornwell, Seattle Times, June 11, 2014. Excerpt:

The man arrested in connection with a Central District double homicide on June 1 is no longer considered a suspect, KING 5 reported today.

Matalepuna Malu was arrested the day of the double homicide, when Dwone Anderson-Young, 23, and Ahmed Said, 27, were fatally shot near Anderson-Young’s house in the 500 block of 29th Avenue South in the early morning June 1. Malu was held without bail for a federal probation violation and an assault that police say was unrelated to the fatal shooting. […]

Police are still searching for Ali Muhammed Brown, 30, who was identified as a suspect from fingerprints found in Said’s car, which was driven away after the two men were shot, according to SPD.

At this point, as shown in the above searches, HuffPost went completely silent, apparently because the suspect was identified as being (a) black, and (b) having a Muslim name.

This is further evidenced by the fact that a November 14, 2017 search using HuffPost’s search engine of the string “Ali Muhammed Brown murder”, which returned no relevant results:

Other news about Ali Muhammad Brown’s jihadist terror attacks that HuffPost completely ignored

Murder suspect on personal jihad may have been groomed in Seattle barber shop, by Pamela K. Browne, FoxNews.com, November 4, 2014. Excerpt:

A man accused of killing four people in two states is believed to have ties to a disrupted terrorist cell, a terrorist training camp on U.S. soil, and federal investigations going back more than a decade, a Fox News investigation has revealed.

Details of Ali Muhammad Brown’s life in crime and connections to radical Islam prior to the killings of a college student in New Jersey and three other men in Washington state since April 2014 is under renewed scrutiny. After his arrest in July, Brown, 29, told detectives from both states that he “was engaged in jihad” and referred to the specific murder of one victim, Brendan Tevlin, as a “just kill.” […]

The JTTF [Joint Terrorism Task Force] investigation centered around “Crescent Cuts,” a small barber shop frequented by Brown. The shop was owned by Ruben Shumpert, a convicted drug dealer familiar to Gomez and other members of law enforcement.

“Ruben Shumpert was a prison convert to Islam,” noted Gomez. “He learned to cut hair in prison. Ruben would not only cut hair, but was attempting to indoctrinate a lot of the youth into radical forms of Islam by showing them videos about the 9/11 hijackers and Al Qaeda.”

Gomez added, “in 2004 with Ali Muhammad Brown, what we were looking at was the raising of funds for overseas material support of terrorism. He [Brown] was convicted of fraudulently producing checks, depositing them into accounts and spending the money basically.”

Curiously, while HuffPost completely ignored Brown’s targeting and attack of the gay men in Seattle, and this discovery of where, and by whom, he may have been radicalized, note how it devoted an entire story to ask where a handful of white nationalists may have been radicalized (see Case Study 3.1):

13 Times Apparent Trump Supporters Attacked, Harassed Or Plotted To Kill Muslims; Where were they radicalized?, by Christopher Mathias, National Reporter, The Huffington Post, November 22, 2016.

In January 2016, Brown was convicted for armed robbery, and sentenced to 36 years in prison:

Accused Brendan Tevlin killer gets lengthy prison term in armed robbery, by Bill Wichert, NJ.com, January 20, 2016.

Brown’s trial for the murder of Brendan Tevlin is ongoing; the latest at the time of this writing (November 14, 2017) is that his confession will be allowed at his trial:

Judge: Confession of Livingston teen’s accused killer allowed in court, by News12.com (NJ), November 8, 2017.  Excerpt:

The confession of a self-admitted Islamic State group sympathizer accused of killing an Essex County college student will be allowed in court, a superior court judge ruled Thursday.

Ali Muhammad Brown is accused of killing 19-year-old Brendan Tevlin, of Livingston, in June 2014. Brown allegedly told detectives that he waited for the right victim to kill on the night Tevlin was murdered.

Tevlin had just left a friend’s house and was sitting in his car at an intersection in West Orange when he was ambushed. Brown allegedly said that he killed Tevlin as punishment against the United States.

The judge said that because of Brown’s previous criminal history, he decided Brown was familiar with his rights to have an attorney during the police questioning.

Brown is facing terrorism charges related to the murder. He is also accused of murdering three people in Seattle prior to the Tevlin killing.

As noted above, HuffPost has completely ignored all of these stories.

(2.11) May 2014: HuffPost completely ignored the firebombing of a gay nightclub in Seattle, WA, by an Islamist who reportedly claimed that homosexuals “should be exterminated,” and was convicted of the crime
Musab Mohammed Masmari

On New Year’s Eve 2014, radical Islamist Musab Mohammed Masmari entered the popular Neighours gay nightclub in Seattle, WA, and set a fire, with the intention of murdering nearly 1,000 revelers in the club.  According to an eyewitness informant, Masmari’s motivation was his Islamist belief that Muslims must “exterminate” homosexuals.

Friend said gay club arson suspect “may be planning terrorist activity,” by Amy Clancy, KIRO7.com (WA), February 14, 2014.  Excerpt:

KIRO 7 has uncovered explosive new details in the case of the Capitol Hill arson at a popular gay nightclub.  Suspect Musab Masmari’s motive may have stemmed from his “distaste for homosexual people.” […]

The informant contacted the FBI soon after meeting Masmari because he was “concerned” that Masmari “may be planning some terrorist activity” because he spoke of “something he’s planning.” The informant told investigators that Masmari told him “he had obtained a rifle.”

The unidentified informant also said that, in the numerous conversations after their first meeting, Masmari often expressed a “distaste for homosexual people,” and that Masmari “opined that homosexuals should be exterminated.”

“Exterminate is a word you think of – you exterminate rodents, you exterminate roaches, not people,” said Shaun Knittel, spokesperson for Neighbours nightclub.

Knittel would like to see hate crime charges added on to the arson charge. “If that doesn’t fall into the law of a hate crime, I don’t know what does,” said Knittel.

On May 2, 2014, the Department of Justice announced that Masmari pleaded guilty:

Man Who Set Fire to Neighbours Nightclub on New Year’s Eve Pleads Guilty to Federal Arson Charge Faces Mandatory Minimum Five Year Prison Sentence, U.S. Department of Justice, May 2, 2014. Excerpt:

A former Bellevue resident who set fire to a Seattle nightclub just after midnight on New Year’s 2014, pleaded guilty today in U.S. District Court in Seattle to arson, announced U.S. Attorney Jenny A. Durkan.  MUSAB MOHAMMED MASMARI, 30, was originally charged in King County Superior Court, but pleaded guilty today to a criminal charge filed yesterday in federal court.  Under the terms of the plea agreement, both sides will recommend the mandatory minimum five years in prison when MASMARI is sentenced on July, 31, 2014.  U.S. District Judge Ricardo S. Martinez is not bound by the recommendation and can sentence MASMARI up to the maximum 20 years allowed by law.

“This defendant violated people’s right to gather safely: he put more than 700 lives at risk when he purposely started a fire at a crowded nightclub on New Year’s Eve,” said U.S. Attorney Durkan.  “Thankfully, the staff and patrons at Neighbours moved quickly to evacuate the club and extinguish the flames.  Federal prosecution ensures a five year mandatory minimum sentence – one that is more than double the potential sentence faced in state court.”

Then, on July 31, 2014, Masmar was sentenced to ten years in prison:

Neighbours nightclub arsonist sentenced to 10 years in prison, by Brett Cihon, Q13Fox.com (WA), July 31, 2014. Excerpt:

A man who tried to set an iconic gay nightclub on fire on New Year’s Eve has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for arson, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Thursday.

Musab Mohammed Masmari, 30, pleaded guilty in May to smuggling a gallon of gas into the popular Capitol Hill nightclub Neighbours and attempting to set the club on fire.

He was sentenced today in U.S. District Court to 10 years in prison.

HuffPost’s search engine proves it completely ignored the case against Masmari, and his motivations

A November 15, 2017 search using the string “Neighbours club arson” returned only one result:

Clicking on that headline led to this article — from two days after the incident, on January 2, 2014:

New Year’s Eve Fire At Seattle Gay Bar Neighbours Investigated As Arson, by Huffington Post, January 2, 2014. Excerpt:

A New Year’s Eve celebration at a crowded Seattle gay bar went terrifyingly awry after an unknown suspect allegedly set fire to the venue shortly after midnight.

As King 5 News is reporting, a staircase at Neighbours in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood was doused in gasoline and set aflame, bringing a popular New Year’s Eve drag show to an immediate halt. The fire was extinguished after nearly 700 revelers were evacuated to a nearby alley and no injuries were reported in the blaze, but Neighbours patrons and staff were nonetheless left shaken by the incident.

“It’s not just a bar or just a nightclub,” Social Outreach Seattle founder Shaun Knittel, who was at the club on Dec. 31, told KOMO News. “And whoever these jerks are there’s going to be a good number that makes sure they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Yet once a Muslim was named as the suspect, HuffPost completely discontinued reporting on the story — as its own search engine proves:

A November 15, 2017 search using the string “Musab Mohammed Masmari” returned zero results:

This decision to completely ignore the case once a Muslim was named as the suspect parallels exactly the dynamics of Case Study 2.10 on this page.  Specifically, although HuffPost initially reported that two gay men were murdered in Seattle, in June 2014, once a Muslim was named as the suspect, and his motives became known, HuffPost stopped all reporting on the crime – and the perpetrator’s conviction.

(3.1) August 2017: HuffPost published items on its front page about identifying white nationalists, and how they were radicalized — yet never publishes anything like this about the Islamist anti-LGBT ideology

On August 14, 2017, after the Charlottesville, VA violent clashes between white supremacists and radical leftist anarchists, HuffPost published two stories on its front page that addressed only the former’s ideology, and radicalization:

How To Spot A White Nationalist

This Is How White Supremacists Get Radicalized

Curiously, HuffPost has never, to our knowledge, published a story (on its front page, or anywhere else) that mirrors the thrust of these articles, but about the Islamist threat to the LGBT community.

Given the contents of Section 2 on this page, however, this is not an aberration, but rather, is consistent with its willingness to do anything to shield Islamists from being held to account for their anti-LGBT hate and incitement to violence.

(3.2) March 2015 – present: HuffPost has ignored repeated complaints by leaders in the LGBT community about the silence among leftists about Muslim anti-gay violence and hate, and downplayed data supporting this reality

The following is a sampling of published materials featuring members of the LGBT community, speaking out against Muslim anti-gay violence and hate, all of which HuffPost has ignored:

Pew Research: Vast majority of Muslims believe homosexuality is “morally wrong,” in 33 of 36 nations surveyed, The World’s Muslims: Religion, Politics and Society, April 30, 2013.

HuffPost’s search engine proves it downplayed and whitewashed this story.

An October 10, 2017 search using the string “Pew The World’s Muslims: Religion, Politics and Society homosexuality is morally wrong” returned one result:

Worldwide Muslim Pew Survey Shows Majority Want Sharia But Disagree On What To Include: Survey, by Tom Heneghan, Huffington Post, April 30, 2017.

However, note:

(1) The title of the article did not mention anything about Muslim homophobia, as do all the articles that HuffPost publishes in which it attacks Christians’ anti-gay beliefs and statements, as shown in Section 1

(2) The wording of the article was whitewashed to conceal the actual wording from Pew:

Pew: “Muslims overwhelmingly say that homosexual behavior is morally wrong, including three-quarters or more in 33 of the 36 countries where the question was asked.”

HuffPost: “Three-quarters of respondents said abortion is morally wrong and 80 percent or more rejected homosexuality and sex outside of marriage.”

Student ‘forced to leave’ university after saying extremist Islamic groups kill LGBTI people; Alfred MacDonald pointed out to a friend that in some Muslim countries he could be killed for being LGBTI, by Charlie Mathers, Gay Star News, October 2, 2017. Excerpt:

Alfred MacDonald left University of Texas at San Antonio after feeling ‘difficult to stay motivated’.

He had made the comments during an out-of-class conversation with another graduate student. They had been discussing the ‘religious leanings of philosophy professors.’

He pointed out that in some Muslim countries, he could be executed for being bisexual.

A few days after the conversation, he was called in for a meeting with Dr Eve Browning. She is the Chair of the Department of Philosophy and Classics at the University of Texas at San Antonio. MacDonald studied here at the time.

This event took place in September 2016 but Alfred MacDonald only went public with it this summer.

Dr Eve Browning said if his behavior continued, he would be referred to the student conduct board. She said they would recommend dismissal.

A university head of department threatened a bisexual student with dismissal after he made a comment regarding LGBTI executions in Islamic countries.

(3.3) October 2017: HuffPost conducted an interview with a white nationalist leader, and gave it top coverage — yet continues refusing to confront Islamist leaders who spread hate and incitement, or cover the terrorism that results

On October 27, 2017, HuffPost published this story on its front page:Clicking on that headline brought the reader to this page:

HuffPost Special Report: When White Hate Comes To Town: Watch a disturbing HuffPost interview with white nationalist leader Richard Spencer the night before his speech at the University of Florida, by Christopher Mathias, Huffington Post, October 26, 2017. Excerpt:

NEAR GAINESVILLE Fla. — Richard Spencer, a leader of what he calls the “alt-right” and the man known to most as the “Nazi who got punched,” agreed to talk to HuffPost the night before his speech at the University of Florida in Gainesville last week.

He and his followers had rented a house in the Florida countryside for security reasons, they said. A hotel in Gainesville wasn’t an option.

After driving down dirt roads, HuffPost found Spencer standing in the dark, smoking a cigar and drinking Angel’s Envy bourbon out of a tall glass. Behind him, about a dozen of his followers filtered in and out of the house’s front door.

Contrast HuffPost’s devotion of resources, and prominent coverage, given to covering Richard Spencer’s hate speech, to how it consistently ignores the hate speech by Islamist leaders in North America

Section 2 in this page provides three detailed examples of how HuffPost completely ignored imams, notorious for their anti-gay hate speech and incitement, who spoke in Orlando mosques, including one who preached that Muslims must murder gays, in April 2016 — two months before the Pulse nightclub massacre.

SaveTheWest has also documented many other examples of how HuffPost ignores other Islamist leaders in North America who incite hate and violence, in some incidents, on video:

In the U.S.:

March 2017, Montreal, CA: Imam caught on video calling for Jews to be killed during sermon

July 2017, Davis, CA: Imam captured on video during sermon at Islamic center, calling for the murder of all Jews, everywhere

July 2017, Riverside, CA: Imam captured on video during sermon at an Islamic center — which was attended by jihadists who murdered 14 in San Bernadino in 2015 — calling on Muslims to wage jihad against Jews, to help Allah destroy them

In Canada:

February 2017, Montreal, CA: Imam caught on video vilifying and inciting violence against Jews

February 2017, Toronto, CA: Mosque apologizes for imam who openly preached that Jews should be murdered

February 2017, Toronto, CA: Ryerson University fires teaching assistant who incited violence against Jews during prayer

(3.4) November 2017: HuffPost gave top coverage to a single Tweet by a little-known conservative, that criticized several Muslim women for walking by the site of the NY massacre perpetrated by an ISIS-inspired Islamist terrorist — yet continues its blackout on explicit incitement to violence against Jews and the LGBT community, by imams on U.S. soil

On November 1, 2017, barely 24 hours after the worst Islamist terrorist attack on New York City since 9/11, HuffPost published this “news” story near the top of its front page:

Clicking on that headline brought the reader to this page:

Gigi Hadid Calls Out Islamophobic Twitter User After NYC Attack; The 22-year-old made a point to directly address the bigotry, by Cavan Sieczkowski, Huffington Post, November 1, 2017. Excerpt:

Gigi Hadid responded to a hateful Twitter user who attempted to use Tuesday’s attack in New York City as a reason to target Muslims.

Laura Loomer, whose bio describes her as an alt-right political activist and journalist who has previously worked for Canada’s Rebel Media and undercover watchdog group Project Veritas, tweeted a photo of two women wearing hijabs on Manhattan’s Greenwich Street, not far from the area where 29-year-old Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov drove a pick-up truck down a bike path Tuesday, killing at least eight people and injuring 12 others.

Loomer wrote on Twitter that the women were “aimlessly walking around in hijabs,” later adding that “you think they’d have the decency” not to go near the area of the attack.

Hadid decided to call out Loomer’s bigotry in response.

That is the substantive entirety of this “news” story, which HuffPost decided was worthy of publication near the top of its front page.

Yet as documented in Sections 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 2.7 and 3.3 on this page, HuffPost absolutely refuses to give any coverage whatsoever to more than a dozen incidents in which imams on U.S. soil claim — including on video — that Muslims must murder gays, and attack Jews, etc.

(3.5) November 2017: HuffPost completely ignored a detailed report of Islamists’ systematic use of male-on-male rape, as a routine facet of war, and to terrorize populations into submission

On November 3, 2017, the Guardian (UK) published an article that described a year-long investigative report into the use of male-on-male rape by Islamists in Libya and Tunisia:

Revealed: male rape used systematically in Libya as instrument of war: Videos and testimony expose brutal tactics used by several factions in fractured country, by Cécile Allegra in Tunis and Tripoli, The Guardian (UK), November 3, 2017.  Excerpt:

Male rape is being used systematically in Libya as an instrument of war and political domination by rival factions, according to multiple testimonies gathered by investigators.

Years of work by a Tunis-based group and witnessed by a journalist from Le Monde have produced harrowing reports from victims, and video footage showing men being sodomised by various objects, including rockets and broom handles.

In several instances, witnesses say a victim was thrown into a room with other prisoners, who were ordered to rape him or be killed.

The atrocity is being perpetrated to humiliate and neutralise opponents in the lawless, militia-dominated country. Male rape is such a taboo in Arab societies that the abused generally feel too damaged to rejoin political, military or civic life.

One man, Ahmed, told investigators he was detained for four years in a prison in Tomina, on the outskirts of Misrata.

“They separate you to subjugate you,” he said. “‘Subjugate the men’, that’s the expression that they use. So that you never hold your head up again. And they were filming everything with their phones.

“They take a broom and fix it on the wall. If you want to eat, you have to take off your pants, back on to the broom and not move off until the jailer sees blood flowing. Nobody can escape it.”

(3.6) March 2016: HuffPost published several editorials by a Muslim activist who claimed Muslims on American soil should not soften or reverse their anti-homosexual bigotry

On March 11, 2016, an independent blogger, “Bitter Queen,” published the following article:

“Unapologetic Muslim” Espouses Anti-Gay Views At Huffington Post, March 11, 2016. Excerpts:

Sajdah Nubee has a blog post at The Huffington Post about “What It Means to Me to be Unapologetically Muslim.” For Nubee that involves “comfortably embracing and sharing who we are, which includes firmly held beliefs” in public, and apparently her most cherished belief — after all, it’s the only belief she singles out — is that “candidly stated Islam does not condone homosexual relationships.” Indeed, with perverse pride over her hateful ignorance, Nubee then writes “I know that if I am able to express those parts of me even when widely unpopular, then I have achieved the power and freedom that comes with being unapologetically ME.”

Apparently Nubee is really bothered by “homosexual relations.” Last December she wrote another blog post at The Huffington Post decrying that “These Are Scary Times for Muslims and Not Just Because of Anti-Muslim Rhetoric.” Nubee bemoans these “scary times as we Muslims struggle to hold on to our beliefs and subsequent practice with pressures of what is known as ‘liberal’ culture and the desperation to change misperceptions,” and once again she singles out those homosexuals:

For example, this is the case for those who struggle to stand firm in the belief that Islam does not condone homosexuality. Unfortunately, it is counterproductive to abandon some of our beliefs as this does nothing to cement Muslims and our practice as a part of the American fabric.

If Nubee’s faith does not allow her to condone “homosexual relations,” then God bless her ignorant soul. However, why on God’s green earth does The Huffington Post allow Nubee a public platform for her anti-gay campaign particularly when there are unstable souls who justify jihad against the LGBTQ community on American soil based on such anachronistic teachings? I am not suggesting Nubee is calling for violence against gays — indeed, I presume she’s against it — but the unfortunate reality is that anti-gay beliefs can fuel anti-gay violence.

“Bitter Queen” then cites several recent examples of anti-LGBT violence perpetrated by Muslims, on U.S. soil — which, as documented in Case Studies 2.10 and 2.11, HuffPost completely ignored:

For example, in August 2014 Ali Muhammad Brown confessed that he executed a gay couple — Ahmed Said and Dwone Anderson-Young — after luring them through a hook-up app in Seattle, WA, and then murdered New Jersey teenager Brendan Tevlin all in order “to gain retribution for lives lost during U.S. military action in Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq” as reported by James Queally for the Los Angeles Times.

Only months earlier in May 2014, Musab Mohammed Masmari pleaded guilty to federal charges that he torched a crowded gay club on New Year’s eve in Seattle, WA as reported by Mike Carter for the Seattle Times: “the federal takeover of the case . . . lends weight to allegations that Masmari’s crime is terrorism- or hate-motivated,” and “the case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Todd Greenberg, who supervises the Joint Terrorism Task Force.”

(3.8) HuffPost completely ignored a complaint by a gay hotel tenant in LA, about the facility’s manager, who wears swastika-themed shirts at work, and harassed him

Note: Although this alleged anti-gay hate speech and harassment was not perpetrated by an Islamist, we include this incident here because HuffPost also completely ignored it, presumably because the accused, with his Hispanic name, falls outside of the “white right-winger” paradigm, and is thus within one of HuffPost’s “favored groups,” whom it will go to endless lengths to protect.

On December 16, 2017, the Jerusalem Post broke the following story:

LA hotel owners refuse to fire manager for wearing Nazi shirt, by Tamara Zieve, Jerusalem Post, December 16, 2017. Excerpt:

A petition against a Los Angeles hotel manager who has been seen wearing a Nazi T-shirt has been rejected by the hotel’s owners.

The petition was started earlier this month by two residents of the Soto Hotel, Jeff and Dan, under the hashtag #justiceforjeffanddan.

The tenants complained that manager Antonio Ortega has worn a shirt in hallways and the entrance of the hotel depicting Hitler saluting a swastika.

The two roommates, one of whom identified himself as Jewish and the other as gay, also accused Ortega of threatening to use a gun and of shining a flashlight in a resident’s face.

“There’s no place for hate symbols in Los Angeles or California or the USA in 2017 nearly 2018,” reads their petition.

“It’s time the owners of Soto Hotel to fire him and evict him from the building with a restraining order.” […]

“The owners of Soto Hotel have asked that I reach out to you to acknowledge your valid concern earlier this week about the inappropriate attire Antonio Ortega wore,” read a message sent by manager Leo Valle to Dan.

“They too found the Hitler shirt offensive and will not tolerate such behavior,” he continued.

“In fact, the owners found it so serious, that one of the principals flew down to LA this week to meet directly with both Antonio and I regarding the offense. It was decided by the owners that in recognition of Antonio’s otherwise excellent performance as manager for the family for many, many years, as well as that of his mother and grandmother for now close to 40 years, he be reprimanded and warned that no such shirt is allowed. Again, please direct any valid concerns to me as your manager point person and we will continue to address them in a timely and professional manner.”

HuffPost’s search engine proves it completely ignored this story

A December 21, 2017 search using the string “Antonio Ortega Soto Hotel Jeff Dan Hitler swastika shirt” returned zero results:

So what kinds of “news” stories did HuffPost decide were more worthy of coverage on its front page, in the following hours and days?

Here’s a sampling:

This “news” story appeared near the top of HuffPost’s front page for two days straight, starting on December 18, 2017.

(3.9) February 2018: HuffPost gave top publicity to one Christian blogger who claimed “Yoga Was Designed To Cause A ‘Demonic Trance’” — yet completely ignores the anti-LGBT hate and incitement to violence by Islamist bloggers and imams

On February 2, 2018, HuffPost published this “news” story near the top of its front page:

Clicking on that headline brought the reader to this page:

Christian Blogger: Yoga Was Designed To Cause A ‘Demonic Trance’; “You are playing, quite literally, with fire,” by Ed Mazza, Huffington Post, February 2, 2018. Excerpt:

A Christian blogger is warning those who follow his faith that practicing yoga is like playing with a Ouija board.

“You may perform the moves without consciously seeking the demonic trance they were designed to help you attain, but it would seem you are playing, quite literally, with fire,” Matt Walsh wrote for the Daily Wire.

He repeatedly called yoga a pagan practice.

“I don’t think all yoga practitioners go to Hell,” he wrote. “But neither do I see how a pagan ritual could ever help someone get to Heaven, and maybe that’s reason enough to leave it alone.”

Regardless of one’s view on the merit of this editorial, what is relevant is the fact that:

  • This was one, obscure blogger, whom the vast majority of Americans have never heard of
  • The website on this editorial was published is the Daily Wire, run by conservative attorney Ben Shapiro
  • HuffPost demonstrated its ability to find, and its willingness to give front-page publicity to this obscure religious viewpoint, which it finds stupid

Yet as documented in dozens of instances on this page, HuffPost demonstrated its willingness to completely ignore incidents of radical Islamist bloggers and imams spewing the most vile hatred of, and incitement of violence against gays, imaginable.  Further, consider all of these articles that appeared at the Daily Wire, which HuffPost completely ignored:

(3.10) February 2018: HuffPost completely ignores the anti-LGBT and anti-Semitic hate and incitement to violence by radical imams on U.S. soil — but gave top publicity to a scorching rant by one of its “writers” that vilified a major conservative philanthropist — who happens to be gay — as a “VAMPIRE”

As documented throughout Section 2 of this page, HuffPost consistently ignores the hate-filled and violence-inciting sermons and statements of radical Islamists and imams, on U.S. soil.

Yet on February 3, 2018, HuffPost positioned at the top of its front page a scorching editorial, written by one of its “journalists,” against gay philanthropist Peter Thiel, because it disagreed with things he has said and is doing — which have caused demonstrable harm to no one:Clicking on that headline brought the reader to this page. Note the incendiary, libelous language and smears employed against Thiel, just because he says and does things with which the self-proclaimed “objective, nonpartisan” newspaper disagrees:

‘VAMPIRE PLUTOCRAT’ THIEL BEHIND HQ TRIVIA: This Is Why You Should Delete HQ Trivia, by Ashley Feinberg, Huffington Post, February 2, 2018. Excerpts:

  • Trump supporter and megalomaniacal seasteader Peter Thiel decided this was something he very much wanted to be a part of.
  • Delete HQ from your phones immediately. Do it now or support a vampire plutocrat superintending the destruction of the free press, pluralist democracy and just about everything you claim to hold dear…
  • [D]eleting HQ is not going to strip Thiel of the billions of dollars he uses to further the hell world in which we find ourselves. There are, however, degrees of complicity, and it’s time to see Thiel on the same end of the continuum as, say, the neo-Nazis who thrilled to his open support for Trump.
  • If you can ever avoid doing something that might help Peter Thiel, the world will be ever so slightly better for it.
  • Instead of HQ, why not try Cash Show? It follows the same general principles, and at least for now, it’s not about to be funded by supervillain with friends in the White House.
  • [P]lease remember this one thing: Screw Peter Thiel and the seastead he rode in on.

What could have motivated such a wild-eyed, hate-filled rant?  This passage from the article is revealing: the “journalist” is bearing a grudge against Thiel because she worked at the tabloid “newspaper,” Gawker, which was bankrupted after a jury ruled it had invaded the privacy of the wrestler known as Hulk Hogan — and awarded him a $115 million judgment:

Thiel’s other hobbies have included financing a war against Gawker, where I worked until Thiel’s millions of dollars, disbursed in secret, finally suffocated the news outlet.

Then, HuffPost’s “journalist” also assailed Thiel for defending free speech — even that which he finds objectionable, as a gay man:

And while he bankrupted an entire company for writing things about him and his businesses that he didn’t like, Thiel, as a law student at Stanford, defended a fellow student’s right to scream, “Faggot! Faggot! Hope you die of AIDS!” ― in addition to, “Can’t wait until you die, faggot!”

Why would HuffPost mount such a scorching attack against the words and investments of Peter Thiel, knowing they have not caused demonstrable harm to a single person — yet completely ignore the actual, violence-inciting anti-gay and anti-Semitic rants by radical Islamists and imams on U.S. and Canadian soil?  Several of which either caused or may have contributed to mass murder in nearby localities, perpetrated by Muslims who attended their mosques?  (The Pulse massacre, and the San Bernadino Christmas murders)

Only HuffPost’s senior management can answer those questions.  Contact them here.

(3.11) December 2017: HuffPost published a splash headline to promote an original story about alleged Christian “hate academies” in America — but completely ignored Islamist “educators” in the U.S. who actually teach and incite hatred, including against the LBGT community, and others

On December 7, 2017, HuffPost published the following splash headline:

Clicking on that headline led to this page:

Voucher Schools Championed By Betsy DeVos Can Teach Whatever They Want. Turns Out They Teach Lies; These schools teach creationism, racism and sexism. They’re also taking your tax dollars, by Rebecca Klein, Huffington Post, December 7, 2017.  Excerpt:

Several months ago, HuffPost set out to create a database of every private school in the country that receives taxpayer funding. We also tracked the religious affiliation of each school and looked at how many taught from these evangelical Christian textbooks.

HuffPost obtained lists of schools that participate in private school choice programs around the country. We searched for the most up-to-date lists on either a state’s education or revenue department’s website. […]

Our analysis found that about 75 percent of voucher schools across the country are religious ― usually Christian or Catholic, with about 2 percent identifying as Jewish and 1 percent identifying as Muslim.

Curiously, all of HuffPost’s venom against teaching “hate” in private schools in America was focused on non-Muslim private schools.  HuffPost provided not one example of the documentation that has been in the public domain for years about what Muslim and Muslim-sympathizing “educators” have been teaching, in American schools that receive U.S. taxpayer funding, either directly or indirectly.  A sampling:

(3.12) February 2018: HuffPost published a front-page headline that explicitly implies white right-wingers/Trump supporters are responsible for the increase in murders of gay and bisexual men — yet its own “story” revealed that they are not, and mentioned nothing about Islamist hate and violence against the LGBT community

On February 5, 2018, HuffPost published the following headline near the top of its front page:Note that the sub-headline explicitly suggests that Trump supporters (white right-wingers) are responsible for the rise in murders of gay and bisexual men:

“Hint: This alarming surge has taken place since Donald Trump became president.”

Clicking on that headline led to this “story” page — written by Michelangelo Signorile, one of HuffPost’s notorious senior “editors” — whom we have documented has explicitly advocated hate and stalking against HuffPost’s political opponents, and even their families (discussed below):

Why Are Murders Of Gay And Bi Men Up A Staggering 400 Percent?, by Michelangelo Signorile, Huffington Post, February 5, 2018.  Excerpt:

A 20-year-old man linked to a neo-Nazi group was charged last month in the brutal stabbing death of 19-year-old Blaze Bernstein, an openly gay Jewish college student who was reported missing by his family in Orange County, California, in early January and whose body was found in a wooded area.

Samuel Woodard, who allegedly stabbed Bernstein more than 20 times, is a member of the group Atomwaffen Division, ProPublica reported. Men with connections to the group have allegedly killed four other people across the country within an eight-month period.

After (rightfully) highlighting the recent murder of a gay man by a neo-Nazi, deeper into is own article, HuffPost’s “journalist” claimed the following:

And then there is the staggering statistic from the NCAVP report on murders of cisgender queer, gay or bisexual men: a 400 percent increase in hate-motivated homicides in 2017 ― from four in 2016 to 20 in 2017.  Many men, whether they be white supremacists or not, have felt their masculinity threatened by the increased push for equality for LGBTQ people over the years.

On what basis does he make this claim?  He doesn’t say.  He provides zero substantive evidence to support it.

Then, on that false pretext, he openly admits that the suggestion that Trump supporters (white right-wingers) are responsible for the rise in murders of gay and bisexual men, is completely false:

The great majority of these homicides, which include killers who lured their queer male victims using social media apps, weren’t committed by men involved with neo-Nazis or white supremacist groups.

This is not the first time that HuffPost has allowed this “journalist” — a senior “editor” — to incite hate, and in another case, advocate stalking of HuffPost’s political enemies (conservatives, etc.)

From “HuffPost’s incitement and justification of political violence”

On May 10, 2017, HuffPost’s “Queer Voices Editor-at-Large,” Michelangelo Signorile, published an article that could only have the effect of ratcheting up the cauldron of hate, and probability of violence perpetrated by the radical leftist anarchists whom it has consistently incited and legitimized.

From the Daily Wire:

HuffPo Editor Threatens Members Of GOP, by Hank Berrien, May 12, 2017. Excerpt:

Michelangelo Signorile, the editor-at-large of HuffPost’s “Queer Voices” section, decided he would threaten members of the GOP. In an article titled “To Save America We Must Stop Being Polite And Immediately Start Raising Hell,” Signorile urged his audience to “turn up the heat on elected officials.”

What did he mean by “turn up the heat?” This:

They should be hounded by protestors everywhere, especially in public — in restaurants, in shopping centers, in their districts, and yes, on the public property outside their homes and apartments, in Washington and back in their home states. Paul Ryan, the House Speaker, should not be able to attend any function, eat in public, or enjoy dinner at home without hearing people expressing how his actions are harming their lives and their families’ lives in terrible ways.

The Daily Wire continued:

Signorile is only fanning the flames of an already-burning fire; Tom Garrett, a GOP member of the Freedom Caucus, revealed his wife was already getting death threats such as, “This is how we’re going to kill your wife.”

SaveTheWest documented the fact that HuffPost completely ignored this federal crime against Rep. Garrett and his family (including his dog).  Just as it has completely ignored the 111 other politically-motivated hate crimes that have been perpetrated or threatened by radical leftist anarchists whom it incites, against those whom it deems worthless (conservatives, Republicans, white people, Jews, etc.). A few recent examples:

April 2017, Washington, DC: A radical leftist protester violently assaulted a conservative journalist, on video — then falsely claimed to police officers that he was the victim

April 2017, Portland, OR: A radical leftist group emailed a terror threat to the City of Portland that if it didn’t exclude local Republicans from a public festival, they would be violently attacked

May 2017, Berkeley, CA: An illegal alien student at UC-Berkeley posted a Tweet calling for his fellow Hispanics to gather at a local park to “beat the shit out of white people”

May 2017, Washington state: A professor published a Facebook post that claimed Republican Congressional representatives “should be lined up and shot,” and affirmed that he was very serious

April 2017, Brooklyn, New York: Jewish man was beaten, robbed in apartment above the synagogue he cares for

Continuing from the Daily Wire:

In the past week, a Tennessee woman was arrested for following U.S. Rep. David Kustoff (R-TN) in her car after a town hall meeting, according to FOX 13.

And the Daily Wire points out just some of Signorile’s sordid history of using political terror as a means of advancing his agenda:

But leave it to Signorile, who is famous for outing homosexuals without their consent, including Jodie Foster and Malcolm Forbes, thus invading their privacy, to threaten to disrupt or even threaten the lives of those he disagrees with.

Taken in the context of the first five case studies on this page, plus the fact that HuffPost engages in consistent incitement of racial hatred, and hate against police officers, American soldiers and others, it becomes quite clear that rather than being an isolated incident, it is doing exactly what the Daily Wire alleges — “fanning the flames of an already-burning fire.”  But in this case, it is a fire that HuffPost was instrumental in igniting.  See:

ADDENDUM: Four days later, on on April 27, 2017, organized radical leftists begin targeting FCC Commissioner’s home and neighborhood

The following hate headline appeared on HuffPost’s front page on April 27, 2017.

Then, on May 14, four days after Signorile’s incitement editorial, an organized group of notorious, violent radical leftists targeted the home and neighbors of the Commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission, Ajit Pai:

Alt-Left Targets Ajit Pai; Members of violent protest groups organize events in FCC chairman’s neighborhood, by Elizabeth Harrington, Washington Free Beacon, May 15, 2017. Excerpts:

Members of the alt-left with a history of participating in violent protests are targeting the neighborhood of the Federal Communications Commission chairman Ajit Pai.

The organizers, connected to DisruptJ20 and Code Pink, said they are “taking the fight to Pai’s front door,” leaving leaflets on the doors in Pai’s neighborhood last weekend to protest changes to the Obama administration net neutrality policy.

On Sunday, the activists will again target Pai’s neighborhood, this time with a “vigil to save the Internet.”

“Join us this Sunday for a #SaveTheInternet #NetNeutrality vigil outside of FCC Chairman Ajit Pai’s house,” a Facebook event organized by “Protect Our Internet” reads. […]

The campaign is an attempt to intimidate and embarrass Pai for his plans to reverse the Obama administration’s net neutrality rules, which gave the government more regulatory power over internet service providers.

Kevin Zeese is a PopularResistance.org contributor, who several years ago organized a blockade of former FCC chairman Tom Wheeler’s house to demand net neutrality rules, which the Obama administration later adopted.

PopularResistance.org is a network of leftist activists in the D.C. area who have been involved in violent protests with the antifa, DisruptJ20, and Code Pink. […]

Members of the “well-organized” group were “armed with hammers and crowbars” at the inauguration protest. Storefront windows were smashed and a limousine, which was owned by a Muslim immigrant, was set on fire. Over 271 protesters were arrested and 6 police officers were injured.

DisruptJ20 activists were also revealed on an undercover video released by Project Veritas to be planning to attack the “DeploraBall” inauguration party with butyric acid, which led to the arrest of one of the group’s activists for conspiracy to commit assault.

UPDATE, November 29, 2017: After inciting hatred against opponents of Net Neutrality, HuffPost completely ignored a radical leftist who threatened to murder a conservative Congressman and his family, because of his stance on the issue

On November 29, 2017, news broke that a man in Syracuse, NY threatened to murder a Congressman and his family, because of the legislator’s opposition to Net Neutrality:

Man accused of threatening to kill congressman over net neutrality, by Will Cleveland, The Democrat & Chronicle (Syracuse, NY), November 29, 2017. Excerpt:

A Syracuse man is accused of threatening to kill a congressman and his family if he didn’t support net neutrality, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday.

Patrick D. Angelo, 28, of Syracuse was arrested and charged by criminal complaint with interstate communication of a threat and threatening a federal official, authorities announced. The charges carry a maximum of 10 years in federal prison and a fine of $250,000.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Angelo allegedly called the Washington, D.C., office of Congressman John Katko, R-Camillus, on Oct. 17 and left a threatening voicemail that included a death threat to Katko and his family if the congressman didn’t support net neutrality.

Katko represents New York’s 24th District, which includes all of Wayne County.

Angelo made an initial appearance Wednesday afternoon in U.S. District Court. He is being held pending a detention hearing Friday.

Authorities alleged the message said, “Listen Mr. Katko, if you support net neutrality, I will support you. But if you don’t support net neutrality, I will find you and your family and I will kill … you … all. Do you understand?”

The message allegedly continued, ‘I will literally find all … of … you and your progeny and t- (sic) just wipe you from the face of the Earth. Net neutrality is more important than the defense of the United States. Net neutrality is more important than free speech. Net neutrality is more important than health care. Net neutrality is literally the basis of the new society. That even if you don’t understand, how important it is, net neutrality is literally the basis of the new … free … society. So if you don’t support it, I am willing to lay down my li-‘ (recording ends).”

HuffPost’s search engine proves it completely ignored this story

A December 2, 2017 search using the string “Patrick D. Angelo John Katko” returned zero results:

UPDATE: December 14, 2017: HuffPost effectively ignored a bomb threat against the FCC Chairman’s hearing and vote on Net Neutrality

On December 14, 2017 the FCC was scheduled to vote on whether to keep it, or end Net Neutrality.  The vote, however, had to be delayed, because of a bomb threat, as reported in a splash headline at Drudge Report:

The link, as noted at the lower left, led to a Daily Mail (UK) story, published at 11:27am:

Regulators abolish ‘net neutrality’ rules in heated hearing that was stopped because of a BOMB threat as protesters rallied outside, by Reuters and David Martosko, Dailymail.com, December 14, 2017, 11:27am.  Excerpt:

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission voted along party lines on Thursday to repeal landmark 2015 rules that intended to ensure a free and open Internet, as protesters gather to oppose the change.

The 3-2 ruling sets up a court fight over a move that opponents fear will recast the digital landscape.

The meeting was evacuated before the vote for about 10 minutes on the basis of what Commission Chairman Ajit Pai called ‘advice from security,’ and resumed after sniffer dogs checked the building.

An FCC official told DailyMail.com that police had concerns after a bomb threat was phoned in.

HuffPost, however, chose to completely ignore the bomb threat on its front page, as demonstrated in this screencap, taken at 3:00pm:

Yet HuffPost clearly knew about the bomb threat, because it mentioned it early in the story page to which that headline led, which it published at 1:13pm, nearly two hours after the bomb threat was reported:

Rather than being a unique incident — of HuffPost ignoring the threats and violence against its political enemies, that result, at least in part, from the hatred it incites against them — this was but one of more than 150 other incidents that SaveTheWest documented here:

Examples of HuffPost ignoring hate crimes against people it views as Worthless

(3.13) February 2018: HuffPost published a splash headline that claimed the man who murdered 17 students at a Florida high school was, definitively, a “white supremacist” — even though it was just based on completely unproven allegations, and his targeted victims were apparently were all white

On February 14, 2018, a deranged 19-year-old man, Nikolas Cruz, barged into Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in the outskirts of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and murdered 16 students, 1 teacher, and injured dozens.

On February 15, shortly before 3:00pm, HuffPost published this splash headline:

Notice that HuffPost didn’t say Cruz was an “alleged” white supremacist, or was “claimed to be” a white supremacist.  Its headline said, definitively, that he “Shooter was a white supremacist.”

By 4:47pm, HuffPost had rewritten its headline to read, “White supremacist group says Florida shooter attended their trainings.” (“trainings”? anyway….), and moved it to a sidebar blurb:

Then, by 6:02pm, HuffPost had completely removed the story from its front page:

Key questions
  • Why would HuffPost publish such a racially-incendiary headline, based on nothing but a lone allegation that was unproven, then remove it, without even inform its readers of what it had done — or its reasons?
  • Why would HuffPost publish such an inflammatory, unproven allegation against this murderer — yet twist itself into knots to either completely avoid even reporting on dozens of Islamist terror attacks, plots and arrests, or whitewashing such incidents?  See documentation here:

Examples of HuffPost ignoring, downplaying or whitewashing Islamist terror attacks, plots and arrests (52 case studies)

Only HuffPost’s senior management can answer those questions.  Here’s how to ask them.

(3.14) February 2018: HuffPost enabled one of its stalking-inciting editors to again blamed the Pulse massacre on guns, and as an extension, the NRA, and effectively declared war on it — while continuing to completely ignore the fact that it was perpetrated by a radical Islamist, in the same city in which only two months earlier, a radical imam divinely incited and justified such an act

On February 20, 2018, HuffPost enabled its “Editor-at-large,” Michelangelo Signorile, to post on its front page what amounts to a declaration of war on the National Rifle Association (NRA):

The relevance of this incident to this page, is that as the documentation throughout Sections 1 & 2 on this page shows, HuffPost:

  • Has enacted a de facto blockade against exposing any radical Islamists for their anti-LGBT incitement and violence, but…
  • Never misses an opportunity to give top coverage to its vilifying and mocking Christians for making statements in support of traditional marriage, etc.

Against that backdrop, on this day, HuffPost enabled Signorile to claim that the Pulse nightclub massacre was primarily a gun problem — instead of merely the latest result of explicit incitement to murder gays, by influential Islamist preachers.  In that case, two months earlier, in Orlando itself.

Yes, We Can — And Must — Beat The NRA, by Michelangelo Signorile, Huffington Post, February 20, 2018. Excerpt:

Promoting gun safety is not just the right thing to do. Trying to ignore the issue ― and ignore the NRA ― rather than marshaling the forces demanding tougher gun laws is the road to ruin, Beltway conventional wisdom notwithstanding.

After the Orlando massacre at the Pulse LGBTQ nightclub in 2016, Joe Sudbay, who has worked as a political advocate and adviser in Washington for many years on gun control and many other progressive issues, rightly warned progressives as well at that time:

One of the biggest myths that has yet to be broken is that the NRA is invincible. It’s not true. Never has been. But, it’s etched in stone in D.C., particularly among the chattering class made of pundits and consultants … Over the past two decades, I watched politicians who took on the NRA and the gun issue  —  and won. And, I watched politicians who thought they could ignore the NRA  —  and lost. The latter is always what gets held up as truth. And, once something becomes conventional wisdom, it’s very hard to change

And it’s not only the epidemic of mass shootings and dangerous weapons in our schools that are at stake, as if that’s not enough.

Furthermore, on at least one prior occasion, HuffPost enabled Signorile to post on its front page an editorial screed in which he openly advocated that radical leftists stalk Republican public figures, and their families, even at their homes.  And, as documented here, that incitement was followed by exactly the kind of stalking and harassment that HuffPost urged, plus a variety of threats and acts of violence against Republicans.

The following is how the Daily Wire covered this incitement:

HuffPo Editor Threatens Members Of GOP, by Hank Berrien, May 12, 2017. Excerpt:

Michelangelo Signorile, the editor-at-large of HuffPost’s “Queer Voices” section, decided he would threaten members of the GOP. In an article titled “To Save America We Must Stop Being Polite And Immediately Start Raising Hell,” Signorile urged his audience to “turn up the heat on elected officials.”

Four days after Signorile’s incitement, on May 14, 2017, the home of the chairman of the FCC, Ajit Pai, was hit with exactly the kind of radical leftist stalking that HuffPost advocated:

Alt-Left Targets Ajit Pai; Members of violent protest groups organize events in FCC chairman’s neighborhood, by Elizabeth Harrington, Washington Free Beacon, May 15, 2017. Excerpts:

DisruptJ20 activists were also revealed on an undercover video released by Project Veritas to be planning to attack the “DeploraBall” inauguration party with butyric acid, which led to the arrest of one of the group’s activists for conspiracy to commit assault.

Predictably, however, HuffPost gave zero coverage to this incident, and how terrified Pai’s neighbors became.  This incident, however, was only part of HuffPost’s “incitement jihad” against Pai; here was its front page splash headline on  April 27, 2017:

Conclusion

HuffPost has a very successful track record of whipping up violence-prone and potentially violent radical leftists into a frenzy of hatred — and has on repeated occasions openly advocated and legitimized their offensive use of violence, to advance their political agenda:

(6.2) HuffPost’s incitement and justification of political violence (8 case studies)

Now, HuffPost has turned its sites onto the NRA, and is thus, in effect, telling the most lawless of its radical leftist readers that they may unleash whatever stalking, harassment and violence they deem necessary against it and NRA supporters, to advance their agenda.

(3.15) March 2018: HuffPost gave top-of-the-front-page coverage to an essay by a gay high school student who claims he was “protested by the Westboro Baptist Church” — yet completely ignores Islamist hate and violence against the LGBT community

On March 21, 2018, HuffPost published this item at the top of its front page:

I’m An Out High School Athlete Who Was Protested By The Westboro Baptist Church, by Jake Bain, Huffington Post, March 20, 2018. Excerpt:

I am, for the most part, your average 18 year old, getting ready to graduate high school and begin the next chapter of my academic career. I will be attending Indiana State University in the fall, and I will embark on my lifelong dream of playing Division 1 football.

Up until a year ago, that is all anyone ever knew me for: the outgoing, stereotypical jock. And yes, that is who I was, but I also had one secret that I felt I may never be able to tell anyone, one secret that I knew if made public could change the way people looked at me for the rest of my life. I am a Division 1 football player, and I am also gay.[…]

Then, last week, I was informed by the headmaster of my school, Andy Abbott, that an international hate group known as the Westboro Baptist Church was planning on coming to my school to protest against me and the entire LGBTQ community at my school.  When I first saw the hateful, disgusting things the Westboro Baptist Church said about me on their website, I was completely shocked and extremely upset. However, after I talked with some of my closest friends and family, I realized that if a hate group is coming after me, then I must be doing something right.

As ugly and sad as this is, there are several facts that must be considered:

  • The Westboro Baptist Church, while a revolting organization, has apparently never incited or perpetrated violence against the LGBT community; in contrast, the Islamist imams have done so all over the world, and particularly in America.
  • The Westboro Baptist Church is a widely reviled organization, against whom there are frequently counter-protests.  These protests arise because of public awareness being raised by responsible, objective members of the news media, often resulting in social media activism in the relevant communities.  HuffPost, in contrast, has engaged in a conspiracy of silence, not just about Islamist incitement and perpetration of violence against the LBGT community, it publishes what it knows, or should know, are demonstrably false “reports” that deny Islamists are the dominant domestic terrorist threat (examples here, here).

And yet HuffPost chose to give top-of-the-front-page coverage to an essay by one high schooler who was targeted for a protest campaign, as documented in Sections 2 and 3 on this page, it completely ignores or whitewashes members of the LGBT community who are murdered or targeted by violent Islamists.

(3.16) December 2017 – April 2018: HuffPost ran a series of sympathy-evoking “news” stories about Noor Salman, the wife of Pulse jihadist Omar Mateen, depicting her as a Disney-esque cartoon character, during her trial for her role in the attack

Please see:

(32) December 2017, Orlando, FL: HuffPost completely ignored the announcement that the Pulse nightclub jihadist’s wife has been indicted for aiding him in preparing for the attack

(58) March 2018, Orlando, FL: HuffPost published a front-page headline that depicted an alleged co-conspirator in the Pulse nightclub massacre as a victim of American unfairness, with an associated visual depiction of her that made her appear as if she were a Disney-esque character

(64) April 2018: HuffPost wrote and gave top coverage to a “news” story that claimed “Everyone Got The Pulse Massacre Story Completely Wrong,” and that the jihadist’s wife was a “victim of… sadistic prosecution” — while whitewashing or downplaying the factual basis for her indictment, and key related evidence

(3.17) April 2018: HuffPost completely ignored the discovery that leftist MSNBC host Joy Reid had a long history of making anti-LGBT statements, then lying about them, claiming that they were the result of her online accounts being hacked

These discoveries began on April 23, 2018.  On April 24, 2018, more discoveries and analysis were at the very top of the Drudge Report, and had gone viral in conservative blogs:

LGBTQ GROUP RESCINDS AWARD FOR JOY REID…

WAYBACK MACHINE disputes ‘tampering’ claims…

GREENWALD: Why Media Ignores…

HuffPost’s search engine proves it completely ignored this story

An April 24, 2018 search using the string “Joy Reid LGBT tamper” returned zero results:
