Dear Editor:

The “Move the Embassy to Jerusalem” article (10/25), by former U.S. Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro, highlighted that “such a move would make clear that the US supports Israel’s claim to the city’s Western part.”

The problem is that Israel claims both the Western and Eastern parts, as it should.

Jews have been living in Jerusalem for over 3000 years and have more rights to live in and control Jerusalem than Americans have to live in America.

It is a sad day when American diplomats insist on acting against American and Israeli self interest by giving away Israeli land. If they feel so benevolent, they should start by giving Texas back to Mexico!

Sincerely,

Kenneth Abramowitz
